Northern Light Mercy Hospital Department: MRI Mercy Fore River Work Type: PRN (Pool/Per Diem) Hours Per Week: Variable Work Schedule: Variable Under the guidance of the Supervisor MRI Technology and Physician Director, the MRI Technologist performs MRI scanning procedures for diagnostic purposes. Northern Light Mercy Hospital Department: Nuclear Imaging Mercy Fore River Work Type: PRN (Pool/Per Diem) Hours Per Week: Variable Work Schedule: Variable Under the supervision of the Supervisor Nuclear Medicine, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares, measures, and administers radionuclides in therapeutic, diagnostic and tracer studies on adolescent through geriatric patients as prescribed by Radiologist or Endocrinologist. He/she will be expected to diagnosis or troubleshoot equipment and software failures in order to successfully identify and resolve such issues. Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Department: Radiation Oncology Lafayette Building Work Type: Full Time Hours Per Week: 40.00 Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM The Radiation Therapist is responsible for simulations, treatments, chart checks, scheduling, weekly chart checks, machine warm up and shut down, performing QA tasks on machines, educating patients, and taking on-call shifts or any other tasks deemed necessary to perform their job, under the direction and supervision of the Physician, Department Manager, and Lead Radiation Therapist. Quality Assurance of the treatment and simulation equipment are performed daily. Therapist must follow all departmental policies and ensure that safety procedures are followed to protect the patient as well as themselves. Must monitor the patient at all times whether that is during a simulation, treatment, or having the procedure. They must check patient for reactions to treatment and listen to any concerns the patient or family member has and must be able to communicate this to the Physician and Nursing Staff. Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Department: Radiation Oncology Lafayette Building Work Type: PRN FTE: Variable Work Schedule: Variable The Radiation Therapist Assistant will be responsible for scheduling daily radiation therapy treatments, Special Procedures, and New Start appointments given at time of simulation. The RT Assistant will help maintain efficient treatment schedules, making sure all patients have adequate treatment durations. If openings occur on the machines, the RT Assistant will call patients to come in earlier. Assist the Radiation Therapists with patient communication if a treatment machine is unavailable. Will make any patient-requested scheduling changes as appropriate and if machine is availability. Will place SIM reminder calls to patient's pre-sim to emphasize special instructions dictated by the Radiation Oncologist. Will help arrange transport for all inpatients acting as the liaison between the Radiation Nurses, the Radiation Therapists, and Medcom transport. The RT Assistant will ensure all treatment and sim rooms are fully stocked with supplies and linen, and empty linen carts as needed. This employee will help with the cleaning and tidying of treatment waiting rooms. They will assist patients filling out their Oral Contrast assessment sheets. Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Department: Imaging Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center Work Type: PRN - 12 Week Temporary Assignment Hours Per Week: 36-40 Hours Work Schedule: Variable Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is pleased to offer an opportunity for direct contracting for Radiologic Technologists to come and experience what it is like to be part of Northern Light Health. We are opening to applications from interested Diagnostic Medical Radiographers who would like to work directly for the organization in a traveler like role. The Radiographer will become part of our team as a temporary employee for a period of 12 weeks. Radiographers will be scheduled as needed based on patient care needs. The radiographer will operate x-ray equipment, including portables, surgical c-arms, and fixed devices, to produce radiographs of various anatomical structures of the body with the least discomfort to the patient to provide images of diagnostic quality. The radiographer may be involved in part of a procedural team and will treat patients of all age groups to include infancy, pediatrics, adults and geriatrics. Northern Light A.R. Gould Department: Imaging Northern Light A.R. Gould Hospital Work Type: Full Time Hours Per Week: 40.00 Work Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM The staff CT Technologist performs CT scan examinations of selected portions of the anatomy as requested by the clinician. The CT Scan Technologist is expected to perform a variety of procedures with the knowledge and ability to apply a prescribed amount of x-radiation for the purpose of obtaining diagnostic quality CT scans for interpretation by the radiologist.
