About the role
Under the supervision of the Director of the OR, the PAR (Post Anesthesia Recovery) RN manages all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment. The RN is accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of the PAR patient. The PAR RN will work with the anesthesia, physicians and all personnel of the other departments to ensure quality patient care. The PAR RN is a self-motivated professional and resourceful person who supports the mission and nursing philosophy of Northern Montana Health Care.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Registered nurse currently licensed to practice professional nursing by the Montana State Board of Nursing.
One year of Med Surg experience.
ACLS certification within one year.
This position will be 10-hour shifts.
Salary commensuration up to 15 years experience.

What you'll be doing:
As a nurse in the OB department you will care for antepartum, laboring, and postpartum mothers and their newborns. You will learn to circulate in the OR for cesarean sections and will be supported by department-specific OB surgical technicians. This position provides primary care to patients, including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation.

Scheduled shifts in PACU are currently scheduled for three 10 hour shifts with varying start times (~0700-1130). Call shifts are approximately one week night every pay period and 1 weekend approximately every 4-6th weekend.
Weeknight call: ~2000 until 0800 the next day. Monday- Friday
Weekend call: Saturday & Sunday 0800-2000 OR Saturday & Sunday 2000-0800
Weekend call shifts are rotated between days/nights.
Holiday call shifts are rotated between staff on a 3 year cycle currently.
