* Investigate order delays and notify customers of backorders and anticipated fill dates. Initiate the process of updating item availability on-line or determine to temporarily remove the item. Follow up with the vendor as fill date approaches.
* Process order cancel, change, refund, damage, defective, parts or return requests with vendors electronically; follow up with vendors to ensure timely resolution for the customer.
* Monitor and trace drop ship orders with vendors and freight carriers, arrange freight pickup when necessary, document shipping information, and report status to external customers in a courteous professional manner.

Position Details:
As a Branch Sales Associate you will provide solutions and easily connect with walk-in customers by using guidance, knowledge, and a winning attitude. You will maximize sales opportunities, create customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. Throughout the day, you will need to shift focus from assisting customers to perform a variety of warehouse tasks. You will report to the Store Manager.

You Will:
* Manage the entire customer experience. This includes appropriate product selection, accurate order entry, safely picking product, and safely loading customer vehicle
* Look for ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty
* Adapt communication style to differing audiences in email, over phone, or in person
* Pick, prepare, and stage will call orders/shipping product
* Prepare customer backorders and put away other stock received
* Help with merchandising and perform showroom replenishment
* Perform inventory counts
* Learn and easily navigate through different computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse activities
* Perform housekeeping tasks to ensure branch appearance meets Grainger standards.
* Agree to safety guidelines and comply with all process standards including wearing personal protective equipment

About the Role We're looking for a Quality Technician to join our Manufacturing team and help ensure that every product leaving our Assembly department meets the highest standards. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for excellence and supporting continuous improvement across the production process.
* The pay range for this role is $23/hour - $29/hour, depending on qualifications and experience
* The work schedule for this role is 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday, and 7:00am - 11:00am on Friday. Overtime may be required.
What You'll Do
As a Quality Technician, you'll be the guardian of product quality. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring and reporting supplier quality metrics through our accountability system
* Performing daily audits of finished products on the production line
* Reviewing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accuracy
* Auditing testing procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards
* Investigating recurring quality issues in assembly components
* Documenting and processing non-conforming materials, and communicating findings to vendors and internal teams
* Managing quarantined inventory to keep non-conforming materials out of production
* Coordinating returns of poor-quality parts with purchasing

* Running random audits of fabrication parts to verify standards are met

Your top priority as an Assistant Merchant is to drive sales and maximize profitability of assigned categories through all sales channels including internet, catalog, and retail through the execution of Merchant's strategic vision. Key Responsibilities:
* Manages the profitability and implements the strategic direction of all assigned categories including sales, adjusted landed margin dollars, adjusted landed margin rate and turn.
* Executes line review for categories including setting up skus and suppliers.
* Assists with selection and responsible for build out of direct mailer for assigned categories and accurate data entered into appropriate systems. Maximizes sales of each class through effective quarterly promotions. Partners with Pricing Analyst on recommendations of promotional pricing, power buys, sale items and special offerings such as racetrack, direct mailer, emails, home page. Monitors performance of promotions and reports findings to category merchant team.
* Executes new product introductions on time per the project calendar. Communicates and provides clear direction to cross-functional team on strategy for all assets needed at launch including planograms, videos, images, content, promotions, signs, labor hours, and loss prevention.
* Communicates in open-to-buy meetings the changes to business and the needs that are established through current trends, forecasting the category with accuracy in order to get resources that would be needed to deliver the numbers to budget.
* Partners with Advertising, Marketing and other cross-functional partners to launch new products including sourcing, packaging and marketing. Coordinates the procurement of all required advertising content and ensures copy, images and video content are accurate through vendor portal. Paginates catalog pages according to strategy.
* Shops competitively through both instore and online research. Understands assigned categories within the major competitors including promotions, online experience and instore presentations.
* Manages communication with Retail through the Retail Operations team. Works with team to make sure Plan-To-Operate is clear, timely, and any issues that arise are communicated through that team.
* Manages online conversion for assigned categories. Communicates the gaps and works cross functionally to close gaps in a timely manner.
* Participates in requesting and utilizing multi-channel vendor marketing funds.
* Assists Merchant with creating multi-year strategic road map for assigned categories.
What you will bring to the table:
* Bachelor's degree preferred with focus on business, economics, finance or related field.
* 1+ year experience in merchandising, marketing, vendor relations, retail or related field.
