NOVEC history
NOVEC company history timeline
Today, NOVEC is one of the largest electric distribution cooperatives in the country. It has grown from serving approximately 38,000 meters in 1983 to 164,000, covering a 651-square mile territory in Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, Prince William, Stafford and Clarke counties and the City of Manassas Park.
Cooperatives worldwide generally operate using the same principles as adopted in 1995 by the International Cooperative Alliance.
3M donated 12,000 pounds or approximately 1,000 gallons of Novec Engineered Fluid to the Smithsonian’s Sant Ocean Hall, scheduled to open in September 2008.
He received the Charles J. Colgan Visionary Award from the Prince William Chamber of Commerce at the Business Awards in 2018.
