The Sullivan Main Campus of the Northshore Technical Community College in Bogalusa, Louisiana, provides exceptional hands-on technical training programs in fields designated as in demand by local Louisianan businesses and industries. Northshore provides a number of student organizations that you can join for even further professional development, like SkillsUSA and the Student Government Association. The Student Government Association works to make extracurricular activities with social and recreational interests available to enhance your college life. Academics offered at the Sullivan Main Campus include a handful of technical preparation programs, some of which include: * Air Conditioning and Refrigeration * Diesel Powered Equipment Technology * Computer and Networking Support * Culinary Arts and Occupations * Care and Development of Young Children The school also offers a YouthBuild program for youths between the ages of 16 and 24 who have not yet finished high school. These students have the opportunity to work for their GED and take courses in Carpentry and Life Skill Development. To encourage the citizens of Louisiana to further their education, the school offers discounted tuition for Louisiana residents. Students who are at least 17 years old and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent are eligible for enrollment. Programs in Practical Nursing and Barber Styling may have additional admissions requirements. Northshore financial aid programs are available to students who demonstrate need.
