On September 7th, 1971, Northside Christian School opened its doors with 236 students, grades K- 9.
Northside Christian School started in the education wing of Calvary Bible Church in 1971.
1974: The school opened as Compassion Day School with thirty students, serving 1st to 8th grade students.
In 1975, land was purchased on 62nd Avenue for the purpose of building a new upper school.
1978: The school was reorganized and the name was changed to Northside Christian School.
In 1979, Northside Christian School celebrated a very important milestone when it became accredited by the Florida Association of Christian Schools.
That next school year, the first graduating class of 1980 received their diplomas.
1986: Northside Christian School identified a need to expand since there was no room for further growth at the Church Upon the Rock campus.
1987: The second campus of Northside Christian School opened in Blaine at Way of the Cross Church.
1999: The Northside Christian School campuses were combined, and began meeting exclusively at its current location in Blaine at the Way of the Cross (now Way of the Lord) site.
The High School PRAXIS program for students with different learning styles was created in 2005.
In September of 2011, Northside Christian Academy opened its doors as a ministry of Northside Baptist Church.
