    The Employee Relations Manager (ERM) provides expertise on all employee relations and policy matters across the organization using internal and external insight to develop strategy, supply guidance, ensure consistency, and manage risk. The ERM oversees investigations related to violations of policy, employment law, and/or conduct expectations and should show a clear understanding of legal compliance with NorthStar policies and procedures. This role will have a dotted line to our Employment and Labor Counsel in Legal. *This position can be performed from anywhere within the United States. Candidates must have reliable internet access and be able to work effectively in a virtual/remote environment. Essential Functions: Completes, or supervises completion, of all investigations of allegations such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, hostile work environment, and policy violations, among others. Coaches and educates HR Partners and NorthStar people managers on implementing resolutions for behavioral and performance management challenges. Supplies guidance to people managers in composing all corrective actions or performance reviews (documented verbal warnings, written warnings, clarifications of expectations, termination letters for those clinical employees whose employment is governed by an employment agreement, and performance improvement plans). Enters, supports, and updates all incidents, complaints, and investigations to the company's incident management system (Navex, EthicsPoint). Manages relationships with union representatives and serves as Labor Relations Manager for HR. Partners with HR Partners who support markets with union representation to ensure we are following the most up to date laws and best practices in regards to labor relations. Updates and presents the Employee Relations Executive Dashboard at quarterly executive compliance committee meetings, showing trends and themes, as well as opportunities for process improvement and employee education. Our CRNAs enjoy a high degree of independence, while knowing that they will be appropriately supported if the need arises. Our CRNAs and SRNAs provide anesthesia for all surgical specialties, including some involvement in cardiac and neuro anesthesia. The case mix at MDMC includes all surgical specialties, OB, GI, radiology and EP. There are even a small number of pediatric cases for those who have an interest. Our CRNAs place their own epidurals and spinals, arterial lines and central lines (if credentialed). The MDMC CRNA group has both set-shifts as well as a priority system to determine a go-home order. Currently, night and weekend shifts are covered by individuals who prefer to work those shifts. However, there is availability if you would prefer to work these shifts. The only call is weekend back-up call from home during the daytime. Call is taken on average once every 6-7 weeks with early relief the following Monday. The available position is salaried with generous benefits and opportunities for optional incentive shifts.
