Summary/Objective: The Strategic Accounts Executive will play a critical role in deepening and expanding NorthStar's partnerships across a portfolio of the company's most strategic health system clients. This role focuses on cultivating executive-level relationships, identifying enterprise growth opportunities, and positioning NorthStar as a long-term strategic partner in anesthesia care delivery.
This is a fully remote role, offering flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States.
Essential Functions:
Build and strengthen relationships with corporate executives at key national and regional health systems, including Ascension, HCA, Baylor Scott & White, Ardent, Trinity, Tenet, Corewell, INOVA, and Mercy Bon Secours.
Represent NorthStar's clinical and operational teams at the system level, highlighting performance successes, value creation, and alignment with enterprise goals.
Partner with Triad leaders (MD, CRNA and operations) to uncover and pursue new opportunities for footprint expansion within existing systems.
Develop a deep understanding of clients' enterprise strategies, service line development, and operational priorities that influence anesthesia decisions.
Collaborate with internal legal, finance, and executive stakeholders to structure and advance system-level new growth contracting processes and to streamline existing contract renegotiations.
Lead strategic briefings, prepare account plans, and deliver updates to NorthStar's executive team on partnership status, risks, and growth opportunities.
Drive proactive engagement with health systems where corporate-level relationships are essential to protecting and expanding the NorthStar footprint.
Identify at-risk relationships and implement strategies to reinforce NorthStar's value and partnership durability.
Leverage existing partnerships to activate new growth opportunities, expand to additional facilities, and enhance current engagements through strategic collaboration.

Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in healthcare business development, strategic account management, or enterprise sales-preferably within hospital services, physician practice management, or related healthcare sectors.
Strong understanding of health system governance, contracting processes, and C-suite relationship dynamics in hospital-based services.
Exceptional executive communication, strategic thinking, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred but not mandatory.
Up to 40% travel, depending on system engagement requirements
Key Performance Indicators:
Number and quality of executive-level relationships established and maintained across assigned systems.
Retention of and successful contract renegotiation with existing hospital partnerships within assigned systems.
Number and value of new facility expansions, service line additions, or geographic growth opportunities generated within strategic accounts.
Frequency and quality of strategic touchpoints with key system stakeholders (quarterly business reviews, executive meetings, strategic updates).
Effectiveness in coordinating with Triad leaders (MD, CRNA and operations) to align on strategy and execution.
Quality and timeliness of account plans, opportunity pipelines, and executive updates presented to NorthStar leadership.

Dependently Licensed: $70,000-$74,295.45/year

Essential Functions:
Provide direct clinical treatment using the I-FAST model and principles, including but not limited to leveraging strengths and focusing on the positive, understanding frames and patterns, and increasing mature behavior.
Conduct a thorough assessment of the client and family that gathers information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family and their ecology to inform conceptualization of the problem behaviors and interactions within the family's ecological context.
Works with families to define cultural factors that influence strengths, functioning, and family behaviors to ensure ongoing engagement and success in care.
Provide individual and family psychotherapy services that support the identified needs.
Develop collaborative and creative partnerships with community resources to meet the needs of each family.
Continuously work to engage the primary caregiver, family members, supports, and community agency staff (school, probation, child welfare) in change-oriented treatment.
Dedicate time to weekly case planning and evaluation of case progress, with ongoing support from your supervisor and team members.
Receive regular training, professional development, supervision, and consultation activities designed to help you acquire extensive clinical skills within the I-FAST model.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure that clients have access to support 24 hours/day, 7 days/week as needed.

Sentara Leigh Hospital Intensive Care Unit, AACN Gold Beacon Award recipient, is comprised of 20 licensed critical care beds and has an average daily census of 18 patients. Staffing ratios vary and can be 1:1 to 1:3 with 1:2 being the usual assignment.
The ICU RN's are required to have a wide array of knowledge, skill and ability to competently and safely provide critical care to our patients. Frequent ongoing education, new skill acquisition and skill validation are provided and supported by an experienced ICU CNS for new and experienced ICU nurses. Newly hired RN's will have between 2-14 weeks of orientation depending on prior experience. Our preceptors are purposely selected for their teaching ability and formally trained to meet the training needs of new staff. Specific attention is provided for new graduate ICU RN's as they participate in our Vizient AACN Nurse Residency Program and AACN's essentials of Critical Care Orientation online education. Experienced RN's are encouraged and supported with educational and financial assistance to achieve critical care certification.
ICU staff are supported by an interdisciplinary care team which in part includes unit based respiratory, physical, speech and occupational therapists. Interpreter, nutrition, palliative, chaplaincy and ethical services are readily available as well. Our ICU has onsite and eICU pulmonary critical care intensivists and their team of physician extenders 24/7. Physician lead, nurse driven interdisciplinary rounds are held daily for continuity of care and to address nursing's concerns or questions. These rounds are made educational and even fun at times by our very engaged intensivist MD's.
