Information technology technician job at Northwell Health
Assists, supports, and trains medical application users in order to maximize effective use and provide adequate support to the end users. Assists in maintaining and troubleshooting software and hardware; assist in implementing new or updated software modules. Provides support for all end-user equipment including desktop, laptop, printers, scanners and hospital equipment.
Job Responsibility
+ Assists in modifying and maintaining medical application parameters, dictionaries; provides hands-on support and training to end users.
+ Assists in testing and implementation across other clinical applications.
+ Works with end users to establish procedures; helps screen order sets and other reference material.
+ Investigates problems between applications and other interfaced systems and instruments.
+ Installs, monitors, and maintains all hardware and all remote software systems in offices and nursing homes.
+ Assists in coordination with vendors on break/fix issues as necessary.
+ Participates in the disaster recovery and back up/recovery drills.
+ Complies with regulatory agency standards and participates in preparation for visits.
+ Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.
Job Qualification
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required.

It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial, offering medical and surgical services plus critical care, is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. In addition, Memorial Belleville recently was accredited by the American College of Radiology as a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center. Since 2008, it has been designated as a Magnet -recognized organization for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Memorial Hospital Shiloh, a 94-bed, all-private suite hospital was recognized with Magnet status in 2018 and provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services plus critical care.
Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
Responsibilities
Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.

We are a Level One Trauma Center and Brooklyn's first fully accredited Cancer Center treating patients of all ages.
We perform a high volume of imaging for our busy spine services and otolaryngology practices affiliated with the hospital and for other groups seeking high-level imaging services in the borough.
In addition to its hospital-based practice, the Radiology department has 2 outpatient imaging centers and a third under construction. We have state-of-the-art imaging equipment and post-processing technology with integrated PACS and Voice Recognition and remote access via VPN for all radiologists.
In this role, you will:
Provide accurate, timely, and high-quality diagnostic reports during evening shifts (typically 4pm-12am Mon-Fri and weekend coverage).
Participate in emergency and trauma imaging interpretation, supporting the hospital's Level One Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Collaborate with clinical teams (neurology, neurosurgery, ENT, spine services) to provide consultative expertise on imaging findings.
