Northwell Midwifery at Huntington is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife/Certified Midwife who is passionately interested in pursuing a full scope midwifery position. This unique position encompasses sessions in our community office settings where we provide obstetrical and gynecological care for women throughout their life cycles including pregnancy. It is our continued goal to integrate the midwife model into our Women and Children/Perinatal Service. In addition to attending our triages and deliveries at our Magnet Hospital in Huntington, responsibilities also include sharing our 24/7 midwife coverage. Our midwife service also affords the opportunity to participate in research and in the education of Residents, PA, NP, and Midwife Students.
As part of an integrated, collaborative team approach to women's care, our practice works with a professional leadership team including Maternal Fetal Medicine, Advanced Practice Nurses, Staff Nurses, Physician Colleagues, and strong Administrative Support.
Experience is a plus; however, we will support hiring novice candidates or midwives returning to practice. There is a competitive salary and an attractive benefit package.
Qualifications: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing and Midwifery Program approved by ACNM; Certification by AMCB; BLS, and NRP Certifications; Acquisition of DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) Number.

Job Description
Provides physical and emotional care for the mother during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases. Evaluates progress and manages the labor and delivery.
Job Responsibility
Performs complete history and physical examination on new patients admitted to the labor room, and writes admission notes utilizing the attending physician when appropriate.
Discusses new admissions with the attending physician and nursing staff including noted complications.
Decides who will follow the patient and develops a plan for care.
Performs admissions diagnostics and care including, but not limited to pelvic examination, cervical cultures, drawing bloods, and starting intravenous lines.
Follows progress of labor of all patients in labor and delivery suite in collaboration with the attending physician and nursing staff.
Monitors fetal heart rate patterns and notifies the appropriate physician of significant deviations.
Examines patients periodically to determine progress in labor with ongoing assessment of maternal and fetal reaction to the progress of labor.
Reports any abnormalities in patient's condition to physician including, but not limited to meconium, bleeding, hypertonic labor, fetal distress, failure of progress in labor, malpresentation.
Participates in deliveries.

Job Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited midwifery educational program, required

American Midwifery Board Certification, required.

Department/Unit: Emergency Medicine General Work Shift: Per Diem (United States of America) Salary Range: $78,773.63 - $122,099.12 The clinical research coordinator is responsible for the organization and management of multiple industry sponsored and Investigator initiated clinical trials. The position is accountable for assisting in the timely and
accurate conduct of research studies, being concerned primarily for the protection and care of the patient as a
research patient from initiation to completion of study. Activities include participating in the study start up and
termination procedures, working with study participants in various study tasks including patient recruitment,
screening for eligibility, scheduling, physical assessments and biospecimen collection and processing, as well as
data collection and study completion activities. The research coordinator serves as the liaison between PI and
research site and the study sponsor and other vendors working on the trial.
B. Pre-Study Initiation
1. Attend site pre-study visit/qualification visit meetings and Site Initiation Meeting, whether on site or remote
2. Attend Investigator Meeting either remote or at location specified by the study sponsor (requires travel)
3. Complete and submit new protocol feasibility questionnaires with research site information.
4. Review confidentiality forms in conjunction with the ORA and obtain appropriate signatures
5. Assist in study feasibility assessments by considering the patient population, time and personnel
requirements, competing trials, ability to maintain patient safety and confidentiality, fiscal soundness, and
logistical capabilities including interdepartmental needs, i.e. radiology, operating room, inpatient and

advertisements, Investigator Brochure, patient diaries (paper or screen shots), patient questionnaires,
other patient facing materials
2. Submit the new protocol IRB submission to the ORA through the InfoEd portal and after approval submit
to the either WCG through Connexus Portal or approved IRB of record.
3. Prepare and submit annual continuing review reports and site termination report to the IRB of record
4. Prepare and submit any changes to the IRB approved study documents as requested by the study sponsor
to include protocol amendments, changes to the ICF, new versions of the Investigator Brochure, new or
changes to advertisements of patient facing materials
5. Prepare and submit protocol deviations and/or violations to the study sponsor and IRB as necessary
D. Patient Interactions

Participate in or conduct the informed consent process and HIPAA authorization, per AMC SOP,
with research participants through discussion of the study protocol, procedures, timelines, risks, benefits
and answering any questions. Obtain the appropriate signatures and dates/time on the ICF form and
documents the process and file a copy in the patient's medical record. Assures that patients sign any future
amended versions of the consent if applicable.
2. Develop study schedule and required procedures, timelines, and deadlines with study patient and family,

D5N is a 21 bed neurosciences unit with one level of care. We take patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, brain tumors, aneurysms, seizures, traumatic brain injuries, neuromuscular diseases and other diagnoses involving the neurologic system. The floor beds consist of patients requiring every 4-hour monitoring. Additionally, there are 7 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) beds embedded in the 21 neuro floor beds. These patients are seizure disorder patients admitted electively with their anti-convulsant medications on hold and hard wired to continuous EEG. This allows the physicians to identify the area of the brain where the seizures are occurring. Many of these patients become candidates for brain mapping with surgically placed grids to further pinpoint the area causing the seizures. This mapping allows the surgeon to determine if the patient would be a candidate for surgical removal of parts of the brain to stop seizure activity and still allow the patient to have functionality. The nurse-to-patient ratio for floor patients is typically 1:5.

Department/Unit: Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) - D5N Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $93,184.00 The Clinical Nurse assesses, coordinates, plans, directs, implements and manages the needs of assigned patients throughout the episode of care with a focus on progress toward discharge, including during transitions within the acute care stay. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for the delivery and coordination of patient care provided by the caregiving team. S/he assures that competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers including referring facilities, hospital staff and patients in the inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
D5N is a 21 bed neurosciences unit with one level of care. We take patients with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, brain tumors, aneurysms, seizures, traumatic brain injuries, neuromuscular diseases and other diagnoses involving the neurologic system. The floor beds consist of patients requiring every 4-hour monitoring. Additionally, there are 7 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) beds embedded in the 21 neuro floor beds. These patients are seizure disorder patients admitted electively with their anti-convulsant medications on hold and hard wired to continuous EEG. This allows the physicians to identify the area of the brain where the seizures are occurring. Many of these patients become candidates for brain mapping with surgically placed grids to further pinpoint the area causing the seizures. This mapping allows the surgeon to determine if the patient would be a candidate for surgical removal of parts of the brain to stop seizure activity and still allow the patient to have functionality. The nurse-to-patient ratio for floor patients is typically 1:5.
Job Description
• Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
• Assesses and evaluates patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
• Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
• Provides primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Administers over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
• Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Minimum Qualifications
• Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred.
• Must hold current NYS RegisteredNurse license
• Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience is required
• Minimum of 1 year of Telemetry or ICU experience is required
• Ability to improve job performance through continuing education.
• Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.

Job Description
Provides physical and emotional care for the mother during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases. Evaluates progress and manages the labor and delivery.
Job Responsibility
Performs complete history and physical examination on new patients admitted to the labor room, and writes admission notes utilizing the attending physician when appropriate.
Discusses new admissions with the attending physician and nursing staff including noted complications.
Decides who will follow the patient and develops a plan for care.
Performs admissions diagnostics and care including, but not limited to pelvic examination, cervical cultures, drawing bloods, and starting intravenous lines.
Follows progress of labor of all patients in labor and delivery suite in collaboration with the attending physician and nursing staff.
Monitors fetal heart rate patterns and notifies the appropriate physician of significant deviations.
Examines patients periodically to determine progress in labor with ongoing assessment of maternal and fetal reaction to the progress of labor.
Reports any abnormalities in patient's condition to physician including, but not limited to meconium, bleeding, hypertonic labor, fetal distress, failure of progress in labor, malpresentation.
Participates in deliveries.
