This program is for those who wish to secure careers that will allow them to work in the outdoors. Students in the Outdoor Leadership program, often get a second degree in such healthcare fields as paramedic technology and nursing. Northwest-Shoals Community College also offers ESL classes for second-language learners, at all levels of their English language study. Other adult education offerings include GED-prep classes. High school students may also enroll in the dual degree program, which awards them high school and college credit for classes taken. Northwest-Shoals Community College's college life activities include religious, special interest, performing arts and professional clubs and organizations.
