Job Description
The Coding Educator, HB Coding reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Coding Educator is responsible for creating and delivering education to the Coding Team, Clinical Documentation Nurses, Physicians, and other licensed providers to improve the quality of documentation to assure best quality performance and representation of care provided. In addition, the educator collaborates with the CMOs to ensure the integrity of the Health Record is established through best practices in Clinical Documentation and Coding. Monthly monitoring of the clinical dashboard demonstrating improvement in statistical targets.
Responsibilities:
Communicates with Leadership across the regions to develop educational programs that address the identified opportunities to improve clinical dashboard results
Identifies strategic plans that will positively impact the clinical dashboard
Through relationship development across the regions identifies and secure interdepartmental support and other resources necessary for successful origination and implementation of education strategy initiatives in order to achieve overall strategic targets
Performs other audits as requested
Analyzes dashboard and audit data to derive conclusions and construct action plans
On boards new staff on coding protocols
Develops teaching tools to promote quality outcomes
Qualifications
Required:
RHIT or RHIA or CCS
Associates Degree - Healthcare related
Five years of coding experience in area of expertise
Strong personal computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Job Description

Responsibilities:
Utilizes technical coding expertise to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes to outpatient visit types
Reviews the medical record thoroughly, utilizing all available documentation to code appropriate diagnoses and procedures.
Collaborates with Orders Management Unit (OMU) and other coding divisions for NCD/LCD edit resolution.
Interprets health record documentation using knowledge of anatomy, physiology, clinical disease process, pharmacology, and medical terminology to report appropriate diagnoses and/or procedures
Follows ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting, Coding Clinic, Coding Clinic for HCPCs, CPT Assistant, interprets coding conventions and instructional notes to select appropriate diagnoses and procedures with a minimum of 95% accuracy
Resolves NCD/LCD or other outpatient edit claim failures as assigned

1. Equipment Setup, Operation, and Technical Support
Perform complete pre-operative setup by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and testing all operating room equipment to ensure functionality and readiness.

Public Safety Dispatchers must determine the nature and location of calls requesting public safety, fire, medical, or other emergency and non-emergency services, then use computer aided dispatch software (CAD) to dispatch, track and monitor appropriate response for service. Description
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, phlebotomy position located at a client site in Marion, IL.
Must be able to work Monday through Friday 7:30am - 4pm.
The Phlebotomist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Phlebotomist provides expert phlebotomy services and must demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills. The phlebotomist must have the ability to function as part of a highly effective team that consistently puts "Patients First".
The Phlebotomist is responsible for venipuncture collection and specimen processing. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to order entry in multiple systems, verification of test result receipt, patient information retrieval and lab reception/clerical duties and functions.
Responsibilities:
* Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age related standards and in accordance with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
* Demonstrates AIDET model and optimizes patient safety to reduce the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
* Receives and reviews physician orders; ensures that all necessary information is included for appropriate lab services. Enters accurate orders for lab tests in accordance with department policies, protocols and procedures.

* Processes specimens in a timely manner to ensure stability and integrity of samples including: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and packaging specimens for transport in accordance with established protocols and policies.
* Reviews/Records refrigerator temperature(s) and QC/QA records. Areas of concern are recorded through the Corrective Action Log and reported to maintenance for repair. Findings are reported to supervisor or manager.
* Understands the operation and maintenance of equipment pertinent to the job. Follows up with all outstanding orders on manifest log, and communicates all timed, completed or uncompleted draws/charges/results as appropriate
* Communicates and notifies Laboratory and/or Physician of problems with specimen procurement for optimal care
* Maintains a safe work environment, holds self-accountable for safe work practices; including adhering to biohazard waste procedures and ensuring proper storage and timely pickup of biohazardous waste.
* Performs lab-related clerical duties include but not limited to order entry, verification of test result receipt, patient information retrieval as well as utilization of email, medical record systems, handheld and desktop devices, ordering and maintaining supply inventory, filing and sanitizing equipment as necessary
* Uses department's resources efficiently; participates in efforts to reduce costs and streamline work processes.
* Adheres to continuing education expectations; completes and signs-off on competency assessments

Qualifications
Required:

* Experience with processing lab specimens, transferring specimens, and handling a centrifuge.
