Norton Lilly International acquires Theo Davies Marine Agencies in Hawaii, formed in 1845.

1907 Joseph T. Lilley becomes a full partner in Norton & Company;The company is renamed Norton Lilly & Company.

1916 H.F.Kerr and A.E.Clegg form Kerr Steamship

1917 Norton Lilly receives a personally written letter fromUnited States President Woodrow Wilson thanking the company for providingagency services to the goverment at no charge during World War I.Kerr Steamship Incorporates.

Norton Lilly opened offices in the Panama Canal Zone in 1925, and today is the largest agency in Panama, representing commercial vessels operating in the Panama Canal and local ports.

1977 Kerr Steamship incorporates.

1993 A strategic alliance between Norton Lilly and Kerr Steamship begins.

H.W Thurber & J. Schley Rutherford acquire Strachan Shipping Agency on April 14, 1999 and move the headquarters from Savannah Ga. to Mobile Al.

In 2002, Norton Lilly became the combination of three of the most highly-respected companies in the ship agency business, Strachan Shipping Agency, Kerr Norton Marine and Norton Lilly International.
