Matt brings more than 19 years of experience in financial management to his role as partner and chief financial officer, where he oversees Norwest’s financial operations.

Before joining Norwest, Matt was chief financial officer at Watershed Asset Management, an SEC registered investment adviser. At Watershed, Matt was responsible for the diverse business operations of the firm, managing over $1 billion across multiple hedge funds. Prior to that he was fund controller at Highland Capital Partners, where he was part of a team responsible for the finance function for multiple venture capital and private equity funds. Matt previously held positions at Sowood Capital Management, Liberty Mutual Group, and Ernst & Young.

Matt holds a BBA with a major in accounting from the Mendoza College of Business Administration at the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Matt is a certified public accountant.
