Job Responsibilities:
Promptly greet walk-in and phone guests with genuine warmth and helpful enthusiasm to determine interests and needs and follows NbC Sweet Steps of Service to create a superior guest experience.
Maintain strong product knowledge to educate guests on NbC cake distinction, size and flavor profile options, pricing, special promotions and complementary retail merchandise.
Suggest additional merchandise, including balloons, candles and cards, to complete unique celebration.
Process guest orders efficiently and accurately utilizing point-of-sale system and invite guests to join NbC Email Club to benefit from special promotions and remain connected.
Uphold a clean and organized bakery presentation, which may include routine sweeping/mopping of the floor, and dusting/cleaning of countertops, windows and other surfaces.
Restock retail merchandise and cake display case to ensure a strong visual presentation.
Assist the Crafter in preparing cake decorations and packaging supplies as needed.
Comply with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
Maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.

Job Description:

Responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas, and for reporting to the maintenance department any deficiency in any room or public area, and all out of order equipment.
Make beds neatly with fresh linens. Pick up trash from floor, removes and empties trash from waste cans, cleans mirrors and shelves, wipes doorframes and furniture with damp cloth, dusts light fixtures, windowsills, and the baseboards, and arranges furniture properly.
Responsible for the hallway in front of room. Deep cleans one room daily.
Cleans bathrooms, scrubbing basin, bathtub, toilet, and tile floor with damp rag and detergent.
Disinfects surfaces in bathroom.
Replenishes supplies in rooms (glasses, stationary, soaps, shampoo, tissue, toilet paper, guest directories) and places clean towels on rack.
Vacuums each room and hallway.
Reports to the Executive Housekeeper all rooms vacated and clean, rooms occupied and clean, or any other discrepancies, or any unusual conditions of furniture or room repairs needed.
Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person.
Should have knowledge of fire alarm and evacuation procedures.
Must be responsible for security of guests, fellow Associates, and hotel assets.
Must perform any other required duties as requested by the General Manager to aid in better operation of the hotel, restaurant, lounge, and service to the guests.
Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, Associate issues, etc.

Job Description
The General Manager maintains accountability for the efficient and profitable operation of an Au Bon Pain café; the consistent delivery of “Guest First' service to all guests; the maintenance of cafe quality; the leadership and development of café employees; the creation and maintenance of an environment of trust, credibility dignity and respect. The General Manager routinely exercises independent judgment and discretionary powers in the day-to-day performance of job duties. Key Position Responsibilities
Provides leadership in the café by ensuring the adherence to all Au Bon Pain guidelines and standards and by creating an environment that promotes team work and a guest-first philosophy.
Manages the café's financial performance to meet objectives and analyzes any variances and ensures financial controls are adhered to; ensures the integrity of all cash handling procedures; responsible for the accuracy of all cash and deposit transactions. Ensures all team members are trained on the cash handling policies and investigates any variances with the Area Director.
Determines daily and weekly staffing requirements and develops and posts master schedules; recruits, interviews and hires team members for the café and makes termination decisions where warranted. Ensures all team members are properly trained and conducts orientation.
Ensures proper sanitation and cleanliness standards are adhered to and directs the team on the proper procedures to maintain cleanliness standards. Ensures compliance with state, federal and local Board of Health requirements.
Maintains the integrity of the food cost management system; performs end of the week inventory and verifies the accuracy of all numbers submitted. Creates production planning amounts and reviews with Area Director; responsible for the accuracy of all food and beverage orders and ensures the accurate receipt of delivery.
Ensures that Au Bon Pain guest-first philosophy is practiced by every team member in the café; responds to guest needs and coaches and directs the team to perform their duties to exceed guest expectations. Resolves any guest issues that may arise to maintain Au Bon Pain's quality standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
A BS/BA degree is strongly preferred; a degree in hotel/restaurant management is highly desirable.
A minimum of three years as a manager in a full service or fast casual environment
Must be ServSafe certified and have proven proficiency in all dimensions of restaurant
functions (food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, financial analysis).
Must possess excellent communication skills for dealing with diverse guests and staff.
Must have a proven ability to determine applicability of experience and qualifications of job
applicants to ensure high performing teams, and must possess strong computer and mathematical skills.

Maintain food quality and temperature throughout the delivery process.

6) Profitability
Responsible for ensuring profitability through proper planning and execution of food
processes and labor processes. Responsibility includes ensuring food cost variance is
within standard and that labor costs are within standard.
7) Sanitation and Safety
Ensure all food production areas are maintained at the highest level of cleanliness and

MAJOR / KEY JOB DUTIES
* Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and associates.
* Works with minimal supervision while performing all essential duties to satisfaction and within company standards.
* Responds to and assists with all guest requests with diligent follow-through in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
* Performs the out of room cleaning outlined in the Green Shield Binder to ensure that the premises are maintained in pristine condition. This includes but is not limited to trash and debris, trash containers, cleanliness of building interior and exterior, grounds, walkways, stairwells, driveways and parking areas to include removal of snow/ice in walkways were applicable.
* Performs repairs listed on work orders and following the work order process as outlined in the Green Shield Binder. Repairs must be made in a timely fashion and professional manner.
* Completes preventative maintenance inspections and repairs as outlined in the Green Shield Binder.
* Follows the Green Shield Inspection schedule on a daily basis in order to accomplish all tasks outlined in a timely fashion in accordance with company standards.
* Maintains all records as outlined within the Green Shield Binder to include but not limited to Guest Room PM deficiencies, PM Room Inspections, Life Safety Inspections, Elevator Inspections and Non-Guest Room Deficiency Log.
* Follows the outlined workflow on the Green Shield Schedule, utilizes the SOPs as a reference guide to complete all tasks per company standards.
* Maintains organized and clean work area in the maintenance room, while managing and safeguarding all maintenance tool inventory daily. Ensures that all tools are in good working condition.
* Maintains clean and organized boiler rooms, electric rooms, HVAC rooms, fire sprinkler rooms, in accordance with company standards and local ordinances.
* Ensures that all fire safety equipment (fire alarm system, smoke detectors, CO detectors, fire extinguishers, etc.) are operational and that inspections are current and in compliance with company standards and local ordinances.
* Complies with all ESA safety and security policies and procedures to include OSHA and ADA.
* Where applicable to include maintenance of pool and or spa in accordance with ESA policies, procedures and in compliance with local ordinance.
* Handles or assists with the response to emergencies at the property or sister sites when asked by management.
* Monitors and follows up with outside vendors when directed by management.

* Assists with cleaning any areas of the hotel as assigned by the manager when needed to include but not limited to font desk, associate breakroom, guest laundry, fitness room, vending areas, stairwells and common areas.
