Accountabilities/Duties: Follows NbC proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieves productivity goals. Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer and pastry bag to frost cakes. Prioritizes cake pre-orders according to schedule and frosts cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly. Ensures an adequate supply of frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case and maintains appropriate frosting and frosted cake par levels. Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling, and storage of frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains frosting and refrigeration logs. Monitors inventory of frosting supplies and notifies management when replenishment is required. Evaluates baked and frosted cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and informs management of any quality control issues. Cleans, sanitizes and restocks workstation, ensure frosting supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift, and washes any equipment in the absence of the Dishwasher/Utility Employee. Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene. Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record. Bakery hours are Monday-Wednesday, 9am-6pm / Thursday-Saturday, 9am-7pm / Sunday - 11am-4pm Accountabilities/Duties: * Promptly greets walk-in and phone guests with genuine warmth and helpful enthusiasm to determine interests and needs, and follows NbC Sweet Steps of Service to create a superior guest experience. * Maintains strong product knowledge to educate guests on NbC cake distinction, size and flavor profile options, pricing, special promotions, and complimentary retail merchandise. * Suggests additional merchandise, including balloons, candles, and cards, to complete a unique celebration. * Processes guest orders efficiently and accurately utilizing the point-of-sale system and invite guests to join NbC Email Club to benefit from special promotions and remain connected. * Upholds a clean and organized bakery presentation, which may include routine sweeping/mopping of the floor, and dusting/cleaning of countertops, windows, and other surfaces. * Replenishes retail merchandise and cake display case to ensure a strong visual presentation. * Assists the Crafter in preparing cake decorations and packaging supplies as needed. * Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene. * Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record. Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements: * Applicants must be 16 years of age or older. * While no formal education or work experience is required, previous guest service experience at a bakery, restaurant or retail store is a plus.

Responsibilities Include: • Provide quick efficient service to guests under the supervision of the General Manager, Assistant Manager and/or Shift Supervisor • Handle cash transactions with basic math and register skills • Produce the freshest and highest quality product to our guests • Ensure a safe and clean environment for other team members and guests by: • Using correct procedures to clean the bakery, slice bagels, and operate bakery equipment • Prevent accidents before they happen by identifying and correcting safety hazards • Support and follow all marketing programs and trends, while suggestively selling promotional items • Ensure applicable paperwork is up to date • Demonstrates and models an understanding to commitment to Bruegger's mission statement • Successfully complete Bruegger's Training and Certification Program(s) Shift Supervisors Extended Role Includes: • Properly opening and closing the bakery as scheduled according to Bruegger's policies and procedures • Maintains floor control during shifts • Demonstrates ability to increase guest satisfaction • Accurately completes paperwork • Supervises guest service at counter and at registers Baker Requirements: • Successfully complete Bruegger's Baker Training and Certification Program • Ability to be on your feet for long period of time-Required bending and lifting • Comfort working with ovens • Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests, co-workers and management • Prior experience working in a kitchen is preferred but not required • This position may start as early as 4:00 am every day Qualifications Friendly Personable Energetic Motivated - Additional Information Bruegger's offers full and part-time positions, early morning and after school shifts.
