Essential Functions

Job Summary: Responsible for the accuracy of product codes and Bills of Materials (BOM) in the Enterprise Resource Planning system, Visual, and the custom database, Novae Configurator for the support of order management, manufacturing processes, material scheduling, and material costing.
Essential Functions
Create, modify, and maintain accurate and consistent multi-level BOMs through rigorous monitoring and auditing practices to ensure alignment with manufacturing, engineering, and ordering processes. Make necessary updates in a timely manner.
Collaborate with people in a variety of levels with the Operations, Sales, Engineering and Purchasing teams to ensure the BOM has the correct structure, components, and quantities; and that timing and changes are accurate. Provide correct costing information for Engineering and Product Management teams through the design process and to achieve design goals. Support engineering through design process to make viable recommendations for new products and product changes.
Develop and execute change control processes required for BOM accuracy, including utilization of the BOM maintenance and report functions in Novae's business operating system and Visual Manufacturing ERP. Communicate changes to departments affected.
Research and analyze costs based on identified and recommended changes to determine if updates to parts and/ or BOMs are logical and necessary. Determine the effect of changes across multiple brands and multiple products. Make recommendations based on analysis to Engineering Change Request (ECR) group or leadership. When appropriate and with agreement from teams, initiate changes.
Understand and teach others on cross functional teams the cost impact of changing BOMs and part Items, as well as the impact on production use, inventory values, variances and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
Monitor actual cost outcomes for variances. Determine reasons for cost variances. Bring to the attention of leadership for resolution and understanding.
Perform ad hoc cost analysis and reporting for special projects and product management analysis, as requested.

Job Summary: Responsible for the accuracy of inventory for materials supplied to manufacturing processes through tracking and document inventory levels, maintaining accurate documentation, reporting trends and discrepancies, and ordering supplies when necessary.
Essential Functions
Perform cycle counts and spot audits of all materials based on established system.
Maintain accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure the Operations teams have the materials they need when the need them. Responsible for answering inventory inquiries in a timely manner.
Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.
Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.
Perform quality checks on incoming and stored inventory. Disposition material that does not meet standards as directed.
Coordinate the logistics of inter-business transfers.
Follow all safety rules and regulations.
Maintain clean and organized work and storage areas.

Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or General Education Diploma equivalent required.
Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Basic experience with computerized inventory systems required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment and facilities can be loud - hearing protection required in most locations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear in a busy industrial manufacturing environment.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 80 pounds, above 50 pounds is a two person lift.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus for quality inspections of materials within the facility.
