I have the privilege of serving on the executive team at Novant Health, a super-regional healthcare system with one of the largest medical groups in the US. My teams and I deliver world-class consumer capabilities, differentiating technologies, and advanced clinical solutions that allow our high-growth system to provide remarkable patient care. With our chief medical officer, I co-lead our Institute of Innovation and Artificial Intelligence, in which we are applying advanced computing and leveraging unprecedented access to data to solve complex clinical and ops challenges. There has never been a more exciting time to be in healthcare, and I apply C-Level experience from global companies across a variety of industries as we strive to solve some of society's most challenging problems. Throughout my career, I’ve focused on business transformation, launching digital product lines, growing digital retail channels, creating technical services lines, and transforming global technology capabilities. My Novant Health senior staff reflects the same degree of diverse experiences, and together we are making great progress for our patients and our system. My governance experience includes serving as an independent director for Zurich American Insurance Group, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, and for a venture-backed start-up with a successful exit, and serving as an executive director for three private international logistics services organizations. I’ve had the chance to serve on Audit, Enterprise Risk, Operational Risk, and Governance/Policy committees. Additionally, I remain an EIR, Mentor, and Adviser for venture and incubator organizations on both US coasts, hold three US patents and am a published author. I volunteer on the board of Freedom School Partners, a non-profit committed to promoting literacy in the Charlotte area, and co-chair the executive team of the Go Red for Women organization in Charlotte, part of the American Heart Association. I am a Trustee of the Charlotte Regional Business Initiative, and am advisory board member for the American Hospital Association Innovation Council, the University of Tennessee EECS department, and UNC Charlotte's College of Computing. These experiences expand my perspective, and allow me to give back while tackling difficult problems with the smart/driven people with whom I serve.
