What We're Looking For Education: 4 year/ Bachelor's Degree, required.
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in medical Technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science or equivalent.
Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technology or MT program preferred.
Experience: One year, preferred.
Internship of 12 months duration meet this requirement.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Scientist certification from ASCP or AMT (BB, C, H, MT/MLS, M, MB), required.
Additional Skills Required: New graduates and new hires must obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
Failure to do so will result in termination of employment.
All individuals who are newly certified ASCP beginning January 1, 2004, must participate and maintain ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) through the Certification Maintenance Program (CMP).
All individuals who are newly certified AMT beginning January 1, 2006, must participate and maintain AMT Certification Continuation Program (CCP).
Knowledge of current medical terminology to perform full range of laboratory tests.

Team member will also assist in the evaluation of new or modified techniques when required.

Depending on the assigned department they may also have a combination of responsibilities including key operator of specified instrumentation, supply orders and inventory, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting, management of vendor relationships, procedure writing assistance and/or oversight of an off shift.
What We're Looking For Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required.
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science or equivalent.
Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technology or MT program Preferred.
If graduated before 1987, two-year certification is recognized as MT.
Experience: One year experience as laboratory scientist for specialty areas (BB, Flow, and Micro).
(Clinical internships of 12 months duration meet this requirement), preferred.
Three years of experience for Core Sciences areas of the laboratory, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Scientist Cert from ASCP or AMT (BB, C, H, MT/MLS, M, MB), required.
Acceptable for Flow Cytometry only (if team member holds no other scientist certification): MDT(AMT) or SCYM(ASCP), required.

Develops competence in pharmacy procedures and documentation as required, satisfying legal, regulatory, and department requirements of pharmacy practice.
Complies with legal, regulatory, accreditation standards. This includes (but is not limited to) controlled substance procedures, USP procedures and DNV requirements.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Licensure (IL only): State of Wisconsin (registration):
Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Student; Certification (CPhT) issued by PTCB or ExCPT within two years of hire, or sooner if required by law. Must sit for the certification exam at least one time within the first year of employment.
Patient facing teammates may be required to have three certifications: Immunization, BLS through an entity approved by Advocate Health and non-vaccine injectable to be granted from the state of WI or if from out of state, the program is approved by the accreditation council for pharmacy education (ACPE) or by the WI pharmacy examining board.

Physical Requirements

Education, Experience and Certifications

Receives and collects urine specimens to perform all routine tests.
Performs specimen preparation for all procedures/tests.
