What We're Looking For Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science or equivalent. Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technology or MT program Preferred. If graduated before 1987, two-year certification is recognized as MT. Experience: One year experience as laboratory scientist for specialty areas (BB, Flow, and Micro). (Clinical internships of 12 months duration meet this requirement), preferred. Three years of experience for Core Sciences areas of the laboratory, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Scientist Cert from ASCP or AMT (BB, C, H, MT/MLS, M, MB), required. Acceptable for Flow Cytometry only (if team member holds no other scientist certification): MDT(AMT) or SCYM(ASCP), required. Additional Skills (required): New graduates and new hires must obtain certification within 12-months of hire. Failure to do so will result in termination of employment.
