Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required. Currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner/Licensed Respiratory Therapist in the State in which they work. Basic Life Support for healthcare providers thru the American Heart Association required. Advanced certification per facility/department.
Education Required:
Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy required. Associate's degree in respiratory therapy required (or equivalent experience may be considered). BA/BS or higher preferred.
Experience Required:
For Free-Standing Emergency Department: 2 years critical care experience required or a bachelor's or higher in Respiratory Therapy with 1-year critical care experience. For all other areas, new graduates with RRT credentials or experienced Respiratory Therapists with RRT credentials are eligible for this job code.

Work Schedule: 7:00pm -7:00am, rotating weekends and holidays Location: Novant Health Pender Memorial Hospital, 507 E Freemont St, Burgaw, North Carolina 28425 The Registered Respiratory Therapist serves as an intricate member of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualized respiratory plan of care that promotes optimal health or a comforting peaceful death.
The Registered Respiratory Therapist utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey.
The Registered Respiratory Therapist accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
2 Year / Associate Degree, required.
4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current RCP licensure in appropriate state, required.
