Novelis in Uhrichsville has an opportunity to participate in our on-site summer 2026 internship. The team is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern that can join the team for approximately 12 weeks. The person in this role will have the opportunity to participate in relevant work and gain hands on industry experience

The person in this role will report to the Central EMRA Leader and will gain experience with Special projects and run it from start to finish as well as Blueprint reading, CAD, Microsoft Office package, safety walks.
Responsibilities:

Responsible for seeking out data and do research to complete your project
Investigate areas where improvements can be made
Work with full-time engineers to analyze and brainstorm potential cost saving projects
Minimum Qualifications:
Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate.
Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer

The Recycling mill prepares scrap aluminum that is used in the rolling mill to create rolled aluminum coils to a desired gauge. Anneals temper the aluminum then it is leveled and sized to customer specification. Employing more than 400 people the facility produces aluminum sheet for building and construction automotive distribution transportation and consumer durable applications.

Assist production and maintenance with equipment and process issues.
PLC/HMI and controls redesign and upgrades of existing processes.
Install and troubleshoot camera systems on industrial equipment.
Incorporate SMART Manufacturing principles and tools into automated inspection systems to improve processes, data collection/analysis, and drive quick results in recovery improvements.
Qualifications
You have:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
1-3 years of Electrical Engineering experience (including Internship)

The team is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern that can join the team for approximately 12 weeks. The person in this role will have the opportunity to participate in relevant work and gain hands on industry experience
.
The person in this role will report to the Central EMRA Leader and will gain experience with Special projects and run it from start to finish as well as Blueprint reading, CAD, Microsoft Office package, safety walks.
Responsibilities:
* Report out on projects to engineering team
* Responsible for seeking out data and do research to complete your project
* Investigate areas where improvements can be made
* Work with full-time engineers to analyze and brainstorm potential cost saving projects
Minimum Qualifications:
* Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
* Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate.
* Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization
* Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer
Preferred Qualifications:
* Prefer students majoring in Electrical Engineering
* Solid business insight
* High interest in becoming an engineering leader in a manufacturing environment
* Strong leadership and teamwork skills

Location Profile
Opened in 1985 the Uhrichsville facility produces flat rolled aluminum coil. The Recycling mill prepares scrap aluminum that is used in the rolling mill to create rolled aluminum coils to a desired gauge. Anneals temper the aluminum then it is leveled and sized to customer specification. Employing more than 400 people the facility produces aluminum sheet for building and construction automotive distribution transportation and consumer durable applications.
