POSITION SUMMARY:
Sugarbush Resort is seeking two dispatchers in our Mountain Operations Department! This position is the communication hub for all resort emergencies and is a fast-paced environment dealing with multiple forms of communication including phones and radios. Experience handling emergency situations is a plus. This is a full-time seasonal position with a pay range of $20-$22/hour depending on experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dispatchers perform a wide range of daily dispatch functions.
Monitor and coordinate all radio transmissions.
Communicate operations for Ski Patrol, Lift Operations, and Lift Maintenance personnel.
Coordinate responses to mountain emergencies, including ski accidents, lift failures, and weather conditions.
Record and announce all lift openings, closings, delays and service interruptions.
Coordinate dissemination of information effecting normal daily Mountain Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Must be able to succeed in a fast-paced environment and have a demonstrated ability to work on a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to make decisions quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis.
Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting and speaking on a constant basis.
Timeliness and reliability are essential. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
