Support the Area Manager and General Manager in managing and executing company initiatives
Collaborate daily with all Area Staff, with a goal of Continuous Improvement in all functional areas of the business
Maintain Field (80%) and Office (20%) Responsibilities
Ensure safety, quality, training, employee engagement, and retention standards are met
Protect the company's team members, customers, and assets against losses, injuries, and accidents through enforcement of safe work practices
Coach, Motivate, and Develop assigned team of protectors
Develop relationships with new and existing customers to achieve goals and new business opportunities
Perform job site and vehicle inspections, attend pre-bid meetings, meet with clients, and work in the field with the team as needed
Address customer service issues are promptly and efficiently while providing the highest level of customer service
Assist in preparing daily schedules
Monitor daily employee issues including payroll, timekeeping, benefits, time off requests, customer issues, and training requirements
Facilitate teambuilding efforts and regular communications with team members
Engage and support the training of new and current employees to reduce turnover, promote efficiency and reduce labor costs
Obtain ATSSA and state-specific certifications
Become a subject matter expert in work zone setup/design and professional flagging

Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
4-year degree in a business-related field is a plus but not required
High School Diploma or GED completion required
1-2 years of supervisor experience and building teams with 20+ team member
Must be able to and enjoy connecting with field-level customers and contacts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build and maintain working relationships with your team
Contributes to the engagement and ongoing development of AWP Safety employees
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems
Must adhere to and promote safe workplace practices
Valid drivers' license and ability to meet AWP Safety driver standards
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include but are not limited to the following:
Variable hours of operation based on staffing needs and workload
Ability to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing walking, and driving
Regular exposure to all weather conditions in combination with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
Majority of time will be spent in the field (80%)
May be required to lift or carry objects up to 40 pounds

**Position Purpose:**
Supervises two or more full-time skilled technicians who perform field maintenance, inspection, installation or repairs of in one or more areas such as system protection (line locates and inspections of the distribution system), replacing and installing meters, service (tap) and system connections, inspecting, testing, maintaining and repairing valves, hydrants and back flow devices, flushing and flow testing, routine and emergency valve shutouts and inspection and documentation of fire and service line installations
**Primary Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Assigns personnel to shifts and plans daily schedules to provide inspection and testing, service /meter connection installations, valves, hydrants and back flow devices.
+ Coordinates schedule to ensure that field service resources are being utilized to achieve department objectives.
+ Oversees the human resource functions of assigned team including hiring and firing, performance appraisals, coaching and counseling team.
+ Recommends and provides input for salary and job change actions.
+ Works with HSE and training team to ensure that all personnel receive safety and process training.
+ Coaches and counsels team to improve technical skills and interpersonal and problem resolution skills.
+ Works to identify and provide opportunities for team to learn new skills and techniques.
+ Prepares work orders either manually or from a system as required and prepares work related reports, procurement requisitions, charts, graphs and data submittal requirements in an accurate and timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct leadership/supervision for 30+ protectors (field based crews)
Support the Area Manager and General Manager in managing and executing company initiatives
Collaborate daily with all Area Staff, with a goal of Continuous Improvement in all functional areas of the business
Maintain Field (80%) and Office (20%) Responsibilities
Ensure safety, quality, training, employee engagement, and retention standards are met
Protect the company's team members, customers, and assets against losses, injuries, and accidents through enforcement of safe work practices
Coach, Motivate, and Develop assigned team of protectors
Develop relationships with new and existing customers to achieve goals and new business opportunities
Perform job site and vehicle inspections, attend pre-bid meetings, meet with clients, and work in the field with the team as needed
Address customer service issues are promptly and efficiently while providing the highest level of customer service
Assist in preparing daily schedules
Monitor daily employee issues including payroll, timekeeping, benefits, time off requests, customer issues, and training requirements
Facilitate teambuilding efforts and regular communications with team members
Engage and support the training of new and current employees to reduce turnover, promote efficiency and reduce labor costs
Obtain ATSSA and state-specific certifications
Become a subject matter expert in work zone setup/design and professional flagging

REQUIREMENTS
4-year degree in a business-related field is a plus but not required
High School Diploma or GED completion required
1-2 years of supervisor experience and building teams with 20+ team member
Must be able to and enjoy connecting with field-level customers and contacts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build and maintain working relationships with your team
Contributes to the engagement and ongoing development of AWP Safety employees
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products and customer relationship management systems

**Job Description**
**Position Purpose:**
Responsible for overseeing the field operations activities and coordinating the day-to-day job activities of the team. This position provides transportation and disposal services to our clients. Responsibilities include manifesting, packaging, spill clean-up response and remedial activities, labeling, loading, off loading & coordinating transportation, and sampling/profiling material while adhering to state and federal environmental, health, and safety regulations. Provides training and guidance to others. Assists in preparing projects estimates
**Primary Duties /Responsibilities:**
+ Leads in the packing, labeling, manifesting and shipping hazardous waste from the customer(s) site to appropriate disposal centers.
+ Comply and enforce all compliance, health and safety, and procedures in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
+ Recognize and act on opportunities to increase value added services to customers. Maintain professional & courteous communications with internal and external customers on a daily basis.
+ Knowledge of disposal site capabilities and limitations prior to shipping waste materials in ensure efficient disbursement and storage.
+ Ensure completion and accuracy of all DOT/EPA and VES-TS regulations required in submitting paperwork to expedite the disposal of hazardous waste materials.
+ Complete all mandatory training courses as required by OSHA as well as update refresher courses instituted by the company.
+ Operate and maintain all equipment in a professional manner to ensure optimum efficiency and effectiveness to complete project(s) in a timely manner.
+ Assists in the training of lower level field personnel
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
**Education / Experience / Background:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience required
+ 2 to 4 years of hazardous waste experience required
+ Supervisory experience preferred
**Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:**
+ Computer proficiency
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
+ Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines
+ Strong customer service orientation
+ Knowledge and understanding of contract terms and possess the ability to follow through to completion.
