**Regional Safety Manager- Generation (Houston)**
**Overview:**
Works within NRG's Corporate Safety Department reporting to the Director of Safety. The Regional Safety Manager - Generation, is an essential position to promoting safety excellence within a Fortune 500 company. The position will work with the Leadership Team at each of their regional plant locations to drive a safety culture to achieve top decile safety performance. The role will provide onsite support, reinforce employee engagement, ensure safety programs are administered effectively across their region. Additionally, this position will develop various safety and metric reports, coordinate and deliver training, perform detailed incident investigations, and support other activities established by the Safety group and the Fleet Leadership Team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Partner with plant leadership to develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, including safety policies, and procedures
+ Monitor and evaluate changes in applicable Occupational Safety and Health regulations, applicable consensus standards, standard interpretation Letters and industry best practices to ensure policies, procedures and work practices remain current
+ Provide leadership and guidance to plant leadership on safety matters, promoting a safety-enriched culture
+ Serve as a change agent to achieve a zero-injury safety culture within the region
+ Effectively communicate safety information to employees and plant leadership
+ Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in safety performance
+ Conduct regular safety audits, inspections and risk assessments. Provide recommendations and strategic support to mitigate or eliminate workplace hazards.
+ Track the completion of associated corrective measures and action items
+ Maintain NRG's standard when conducting incident investigations identifying causal factors, root causes, and corrective actions
+ Maintain accurate records of safety incidents
+ Assist with the development and delivery of safety training
+ Prepare reports for Generation Leadership and regulatory agencies
+ Develop safety flashes, operating experience bulletins, vendor business cases, and recordability determination reports
+ Assist with injury management and documentation
+ Mentor and advise station Health and Safety Specialists
+ Engage with station safety committees and the Fleet Safety Steering Committee
+ Provide oversite of annual medical surveillance
+ Provide support and oversite of region Industrial Hygiene program
+ Promote best practices across the region by sharing information from across nrg, conferences, and industry peers.
**Skills and Qualifications:**
+ Strong understanding of safety regulations in the Electric Power Generation industry
+ Demonstrated experience developing Safety and Health programs
+ Experience in safety program management and implementation

**Working Conditions:**
This role is expected to reside in the Houston area with an expectation of a minimum of 75% of the time per week spent working at a plant location. The primary work will be performed onsite at our Generation fleet and requires the ability to work outdoors in environments that often experience adverse weather conditions (heat, dust, rain, wind, snow, etc.) and working at heights. Some site support activities (maintenance outages and investigations) may be time sensitive and for a duration measured in concurrent days or weeks. This role may require work after normal working hours, at night, on weekends, holidays and includes overnight travel. Ability to travel extensively on short notice is required. Person is required to respond by telephone or in person during working hours and after working hours.

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Collateral Risk Manager to join our Risk Management team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Credit and Collateral, this role is critical in ensuring financial assets are properly managed to mitigate counterparty credit risk, ensure compliance with contractual obligations, and support trading and commercial operations. This role involves daily operations, managing a team of analysts, constant collaboration across other groups within Risk, and across the NRG organization.
**Essential Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and manage a team of risk analysts, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development
+ Provide daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to various stakeholders and senior management
+ Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulatory requirements
+ Ensure credit system is updated daily and contains robust information
+ Oversee daily collateral operations including margin calls, dispute resolution, and settlement processes
+ Monitor and manage collateral balances across counterparties and exchange

Summary:
Operates and monitors auxiliary equipment and systems which support the safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally sound operation of the Petra Nova Carbon Capture Plant.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
* Operate, inspect, and monitor in a safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally sound manner plant equipment (i.e. HRSG, Gas Turbine/Generator and its associated auxiliary equipment, Carbon Capture Plant and associated equipment, Fuel Systems, Plant Auxiliary Systems includes valves, pumps, blowers, Environmental Control Process equipment, and Water Treatment Systems).
* Observe variations in operating conditions and interprets meter and gauge readings to troubleshoot plant equipment to resolve operational problems.
* Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.
* Works with apprentice operators and skill enhancement employees to teach proper operating procedures.
* Monitor and record data available through the use of various instruments, recording charts, annunciator systems and other monitoring devices onto shift logs as directed by plant operational procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

**Overview:**
The Operational Threat Analyst will be a key contributor to the Enterprise Security function of a Fortune 500 company. Develop threat assessments as guidance to site management in addition to Enterprise Security management and our National Contract Security Provider.

Review past incidents to develop indicators, warnings, and mitigation strategies.
Monitor and report on social chatter through queries defined for national security and threats against NRG properties, personnel or specifically to critical infrastructure.
Maintain confidentiality of policy and procedure documentation, emergency response and notification information, administrative material and database information.
Maintain an active liaison program with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, industry security practitioners, and sources in the public and private sectors.

Job Summary:
The IC&E/ Combustion Turbine Technician responsible for the maintenance and repair of all instruments, controls, and electrical systems at the plant in a safe, reliable, efficient, and environmentally compliant manner and is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all plant systems and equipment.
This position will be filled as a Combustion Turbine Tech I or II, based on experience.

* Start up, operate, and shut down mechanical and electrical equipment, including distributed control systems, to meet operational goals.
* Maintain high safety standards and environmental compliance, including hazardous materials handling and adherence to OSHA regulations.

* Perform switching of electrical equipment up to 230 kV.
* Perform other assigned independent, team, or shift activities that include but are not limited to; industrial safety program activities; routine maintenance tasks; housekeeping and general facility preservation; and whatever other activity you are directed to perform.

Summary:
Provide manual machinist support of power generation equipment in the Central Repair Shop.
Provide mechanical maintenance support to maintain equipment in an electrical generating power plant; may perform Head Mechanic duties during absence of a Head Mechanic.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
* Recognizes safety hazards and follows safety guidelines for personal protection, protection of fellow workers and the protection of the public.
* Knowledgeable of environmental rules and regulations, and effectively apply them to all work situations.
* Ability to operate manual lathes to 138" swing, manual boring mills to 17' swing, and large manual horizontal boring machines.
* Installs, maintains tests, inspects, and repairs generating station equipment such as boilers, turbines, pumps, condensers, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels.
* Replaces bearings, packing in pumps and valves, shaft seals, sleeves, seats, and other miscellaneous parts used in plant equipment.
* Works with apprentice mechanics and skill enhancement employees to teach proper, safe use of tools and maintenance procedures.
* Employee must arrange own transportation to work location and may be reassigned to another location at the Company's discretion.

Minimum Requirements:

* Journey level mechanical aptitude skills and adequate industrial mechanical maintenance experience (minimum 3 years' apprentice program or other training) in the repair, inspection, and/or maintenance of related power plant or machine shop equipment including inspection and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, fabricating and diagnostics
* 5 years' Machinist experience required
* Large lathes, mills, vertical boring machines and horizontal boring machine.
* Strong math skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Have necessary skills and adequate industrial mechanical maintenance experience in the repair, inspection, and/or maintenance of related power plant or machine shop equipment including inspection and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, fabricating and diagnostics.
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Ability to use hand tools (e.g. wrenches, screw drivers, sledge hammers, etc.)
* Ability to operate Company vehicles and equipment (e.g. forklift, mobile crane, etc.) and maintain operating licenses and certifications. Valid state Driver's License is required.
* Knowledge of rotating equipment and general industrial maintenance activities and procedures.
