NRG is hiring driven salespeople to work a multi-brand strategy. The Sales representative will be responsible for engaging prospective customers through promoting and selling products and services in various settings, inclusive of events, retail stores, and other tabling sales opportunities. The sales agent's primary goal is to enroll new customers into energy services. Sales Agents will be responsible to achieve goals set by the Sales Team Lead and/or Area Manager. They will also work closely with other members of the sales team to determine best practices, maximize customer satisfaction, learn market trends, and support sales and marketing initiatives.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Enthusiastically approach customers with offers of NRG Energy and Green Mountain Energy products.
Enroll customers utilizing NRG provided tools and resources
Achieve and maintain set performance metrics while providing best-in-class services
Perform company required trainings and attend regular team meetings
Utilize and exercise compliance standards for securing customer information
Abide by site rules and regulations, including all company safety rules/regulations
Work at least twelve hours per week
Travel to a variety of locations within the greater area of hire
Education:
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required, and must be 18 years of age or older
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Direct sales experience preferred, but not required
Excellent communication through oral and written form
Proficient with use of tablet computers
Ability to work effectively both as an individual and a member of a team
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers
Honesty and reliability are a must

The Manager of Power Pricing will manage a team of Structured Pricing Analysts responsible for delivering a high performing level of service to the NRG Sales Organization within the market footprint of PJM and MISO. The Pricing team is charged with delivering timely and accurate pricing and contracts along with commercial insight to support Sales efforts within PJM and MISO. The Manager will lead a team with functional responsibilities spanning the full spectrum of pricing delivery: costing models and system pricing maintenance; data acquisition validation, customer research, complex structured pricing, contract generation and execution. The Pricing Manager will collaborate with Sales on proposals for complex transaction and provide market and product insights to the Sales Organization on an ongoing basis. The Manager will also liaise with Load Forecasting, Product Control and Portfolio Management to ensure accurate representation of the forward book is achieved. As part of the Power Pricing Management Team, the Manager will also be engaged on a variety of competitive, strategic, and operational issues related to pricing, contract delivery, and contract performance. The incumbent is tasked with driving each Pricing Analyst's personal development, engagement and commercial acumen.
**Essential Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Responsible for delivery of timely and accurate pricing and contracts to regional Sales teams, with functional responsibility including data acquisition, validation, and loading; pricing (including complex structured pricing) & contract generation; and contract execution. Manager will work closely with Sales management to determine prioritization of pending pricing and booking requests, and to resolve issues in a timely manner.
+ Responsible for costing and pricing strategy on a global as well as individual customer basis, including participation in contract negotiations relating to products and pricing; development of cost methodology; and collection and dissemination of competitive intelligence insights.
+ Responsible for development and maintenance of pricing cost curves associated with all non-traded energy components including Ancillary Service Costs, load following premiums and recovery of demand-based components such as transmission costs.
+ Analyze market trends, regulatory changes, and competitor pricing to inform pricing models
+ Develop new go to market strategies and products to position NRG to be at the leading edge of customer solutions
+ Responsible to work closely with Portfolio Managers to ensure market prices for energy, capacity and RECs are current and competitive for large C&I opportunities and live pricing requests

+ Responsible for continued evolution of the pricing system by interacting with the IT team to build out enhancements and improvements to the pricing process and lifecycle
+ Provide regular reports and analysis to senior management on pricing performance, market trends, and team KPIs
+ Work closely with Regulatory Affairs to ensure compliance with relevant electric pricing rules and regulations
+ Serve as primary interface between NRG Sales; and NRG Operations units including but not limited to Sales Support, Load Forecasting, Product Control, Contract Admin/Booking and Billing
+ Responsible for professional development of reporting team members, including but not limited to training in industry concepts related to market dynamics and customer usage patterns and their impact on pricing as well as positive behaviors such as ownership, accountability and urgency

Position Summary

This position is a DOT (Department of Transportation) covered classification and is subject to random drug and/or alcohol screening.
We are hiring qualified Journey Line Workers to work throughout our service territory in Distribution. Open positions are predominantly in Pennsylvania, however additional locations and classifications could become available at any time based on changing business needs.
Journey Line Workers are responsible for building and maintaining electric power systems and for restoring electric service to commercial, industrial, agricultural and residential customers. They are expected to test, frame and set poles; climb poles, work in confined spaces; splice and terminate cables. Our Lineman will have had successfully completed a federal or state sanctioned apprenticeship (with approved supporting documentation) and/or IBEW sponsored line worker apprenticeship. Work is predominantly outdoors and in all weather conditions. Linemen must be able to drive safely, work extended hours; travel/transfer to new headquarter upon request at any time (General Construction Positions), and wear company provided Personal Protective Equipment.
FirstEnergy is providing the hourly rate that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This position is subject to collectively bargained hourly wage rates and increases. The starting wage rate for this position is $ 43.11 per hour with a top rate of $48.78. This wage rate is specific to the locality of the job. The wage rate is based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity.

The client-facing Facility Operations function within the Administrative Services department seeks to maximize the value and efficiency of our facilities to assure the built environment will perform the functions for which it was designed and constructed. Facility Operations provides support to other sites through collaborative and effective facilities management, maintenance and preservation strategies, ensuring performance to standards (e.g., OSHA, FE, and the department).
The Manager, Facility Operations is accountable for leading a diverse Facility Operations team of employees - 45 employees and 5 unions - in addition to managing contractors, in facility-related jobs providing safe, environmentally responsible, and fiscally judicious operations. Responsibilities include leading the team, implementing safety programs, ensuring compliance, driving financial management and reporting, applying business processes, employing records management, guiding staff development, identifying and implementing process improvement, establishing strategic facility improvement plans, working with external contractors and affecting certain facility project management. Duties include the efficient use of resources, prudent labor relation actions, and an understanding of and ability to proactively implement maintenance, technical, and business requirements and trends in the industry. The position is accountable for ensuring that certain facilities within the territory are maintained, secured in a safe manner and in compliance with regulations within budgetary guidelines provided. The position is a trusted resource to internal and external stakeholders within the department and throughout FE, respected and capable driving facility improvement strategies and, to achieve exceptional operational performance. Works closely with FEU operations teams.
This position will be responsible for approximately 64 facilities, with over 3.1 million square footage of facility space, across our territory within the state of Pennsylvania. (Note - also responsible for one facility in West Virginia - Weirton). This person can be based at any location in our PA service territory but preferred locations are Greensburg, York, Erie and Reading.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

A Transmission Protection Engineer is responsible for performing relay protection functions across FirstEnergy's (FE) transmission and sub-transmission systems. Engineers will primarily work on relay protection system designs, setting development and system analyses for those FE assets contained within FirstEnergy's service territories.

Responsibilities include:
* Providing technical support and guidance to develop transmission and sub-transmission infrastructure projects, plans and capital budgets to maintain the reliability and integrity of the FE transmission protection system.
* Developing protective relay design specifications for transmission line and substation projects for use by Design Engineers in developing construction implementation packages. This includes specifying the types of protection schemes to be employed including specific details on relay models and communication architecture, instrument transformer selection, input and output contact assignments, etc.
* Performing timely completion of modeling of the transmission system for short circuit calculation, relay modeling and coordination, breaker duty calculations and fault locating ensuring compliance with NERC, RF and FE protection criteria.
* Developing relay settings for new and existing protection schemes. This involves performing relay setting coordination studies through the use of "time-current coordination" curves, "resistance-reactance" (R-X) diagrams, and step-distance diagrams, as well as the utilization of the short circuit, one-line, coordination graphics, relay checking and system simulator modules of the CAPE (Computer Assisted Protection Engineering) software program.
* Participating in the peer review, electronic issuance, as-left verification and retention of all protection settings through the use of the company's setting management system - PowerBase
* Performing timely analysis of automatic trippings of the transmission and sub-transmission systems. Gathering and analyzing SCADA alarm data, relay targets, digital fault recorder and relay event records and documents the findings in the ED Outage Analysis (EDOA) system. Following up on incorrect operations with work requests and corrective action plans to field personnel. Documenting findings and status of corrective action plans periodically to FE management and RFC.
* Performing studies related to new load and generation interconnection facilities attaching to the assigned area
* Performing transmission protection activities with the FE operating companies (distribution), other utilities, nonutility generation, the Regional Transmission Organization, and Reliability Councils
* Following established procedures and retaining evidence to support compliance with the various NERC Protection and Control (PRC) Reliability Standards
* Providing staff assistance to management and higher levels of professionals, as needed
* Conducting technical research; Compiling and analyzing moderately complex data; Solving practical problems

This position must provide technical support to Substation and Transmission personnel, Real Estate, Project Management and Construction crews verifying that no safety standards are compromised, checking for accuracy, and monitoring expenditures to ensure projects stay within budget allocation and meet the required in-service date.
Responsibilities include:
Creating engineering designs and work scope for substation projects and confirming documentation and support is available to necessary personnel. Possible items including steel structures, foundations, clearances, layout drawings, grounding, oil containment, lightning protection, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Ensuring designs support a safe environment for transmission lines and substations personnel, contractors and the general public.
Preparing bills-of-material and specifications to procure needed equipment and materials for a substation project.
Preparing and filing applications and supporting documentation for engineering permits when necessary. PE preferred.
Reviewing NESC clearance requirements and Maintenance personnel and ensure the public safety is protected.
Assisting Real Estate in the acquisition of Substation property by coordinating the preparation of sketches, maps, exhibits and easement plans.
Directing technical personnel to gather and record data for substation design projects.
Working with outside engineering firms, vendors, equipment manufacturers and consultants.
Providing engineering support to employees to assist in their learning of standards, procedures, designs, and associated issues.
Analyzing engineering issues, structures, equipment, etc., and recommending appropriate solutions and alternate design options.
Preparing estimates for proposed projects.
Reviewing manufacturer drawings for compliance with specifications.
Conducting design reviews, plant audits, and test witnessing at manufacturer's facilities as necessary.
Evaluating equipment ratings and requirements, and project schedules to facilitate the accurate ordering of equipment to support project in service dates.
Managing equipment orders for Substation projects from the initial request for equipment through delivery (technical details, bid evaluation, schedule, drawing review, design review, action items testing, and delivery).
Supporting communication across business units regarding project needs. Convening internal project schedule compliance review meetings with necessary parties to assure deliverables support project schedule and are within the project budget.
Researching and exploring new technologies that will effectively enable work processes to be automated increasing efficiencies while decreasing the risk of human error.
Ensuring standards and equipment specifications are up to date and accurate, reviewing against industry standards and best practices.
Participating in industry meetings to confirm FirstEnergy has a voice in direction of industry (i.e. IEEE, EPRI, etc.).
Ability to obtain Engineer in Training and Professional Engineering license is preferred. Future advancement likely linked to ability to stamp and seal engineering design drawings as a Professional Engineer, when necessary.

Qualifications include:
Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an ABET accredited institution is required. Acceptable alternatives are: (1) a Professional Engineer's (PE) License (2) a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or technical field of study (non-ABET) plus an advanced degree in Electrical Engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred.
Minimum of 2 (two) years of Engineering experience is required.
A Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Certificate Preferred.
Working knowledge of applicable computer software necessary to fulfill job duties including but not limited to Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Knowledge of FileNet, SAP, and Cascade a plus but not a requirement.
Valid driver's license and have access to reliable transportation.

Must be able to manage “multiple projects simultaneously” and be able to work effectively under the pressure of deadlines, unexpected developments, changes in project scope, budget constraints, unforeseen field problems and demands on time for work assignments outside of the normal duties.
Must have strong interpersonal skills and develop and maintain relationships across FE, with outside firms and manufacturers that further facilitate the cooperation needed to complete assigned tasks and that will inspire others to achieve, or exceed, goals.
Must be able to work independently as well as in teams to coordinate designs with other FirstEnergy areas of responsibility including Siting and Permitting, Project Management, Maintenance, Forestry, Real Estate and Construction, as well as the Regional operating companies
Ability to make practical decisions without undue delay and based on the best information available at the time that the decision must be made.
Must be able to communicate effectively with good verbal skills and writing skills, providing comprehensive project status reports, clear and concise correspondence, and accurate information.
Must possess strong organizational, computer, and problem solving skills.
Must be self-directed and not dependent on detailed instruction from others.
Ability to support numerous locations, must be willing to travel throughout the service area and to manufacturer locations, and to work extra and irregular hours.
