As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and support for waste collection and disposal needs. You will handle inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction while upholding the values of Waste Connections. The schedule will be Monday-Friday 7:45 am-5:00 pm.Starting pay is $24.00 per hour.The pay range for this job category is $24.00 - $25.00 per hour. Key Responsibilities: Respond to inbound calls, emails, and online inquiries from residential and commercial customers. Provide accurate information regarding service schedules, pricing, and company policies. Process service requests, including new account setup, cancellations, and account changes. Assist customers with billing inquiries, payments, and resolve discrepancies. Accurately document all customer interactions in the company's CRM system. Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to resolve missed pickups, container issues, and other service concerns. Escalate complex issues to supervisors or appropriate departments when necessary. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company services, local regulations, and safety guidelines. Meet or exceed performance metrics such as call handling time, resolution rate, and customer satisfaction scores. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred. 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in utilities, waste management, or related industries. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high call volumes. Professional, courteous, and customer-focused demeanor. Work Environment: Office setting with frequent phone and computer use. May require occasional interaction with field staff or site visits.
