Assist engineers in obtaining appropriate permissions and approvals for new utility infrastructure to be installed. Assist engineers in applying the client's standards, guidelines, specifications, practices and procedures or appropriate industry standards in preparing layouts of overhead and/or underground electric distribution facilities and telecommunication facilities. Assist engineers with the preparation of design sketches, cost estimates, bills of materials and any other required documents and reports for construction and maintenance projects. Act as a liaison to the client in clarifying technical requirements and proposing variances to standard specifications and practices Utilize client and Company information systems to track progress of engineers. Peer review of Drawing sets Perform group trainings for entry level engineers and designers Perform duties as assigned. Required experience Bachelor's degree in engineering with at least 10 years of experience in electric utility design and specification or equivalent experience. Training of peers and/or less experienced personnel in design and specification work Have a working knowledge of the practices and procedures pertaining to technical matters in electric utility distribution design. Ability to assist with clients and other agencies in connection with project design responsibilities. Ability to manage and coordinate several concurrent responsibilities Excellent written and oral communication.
