Paul Martin is an Executive Director, Teaching Standards and Strategic Policy at Board of Studies Teaching and Educational Standards now the NSW Education Standards Authority and Chief Executive Officer at NSW Education Standards Authority and is based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

I have worked in IT fo the NSW Government in Australia since 1984. I started as an Analyst/Programmer in Department of Agriculture, then moved to the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences as Systems Officer.There I was asked to introduce corporate-wide IT into the organisation by establishing a Branch and overseeing the establisment of a computer centre, networks and development of sytems such as HR, Finance, Collections Management etc. I was also responsible for training users in the use of IT. I left the organisation as IT Manager in 2003 to work at the Board of Studies. I commenced as Manager, IT and am currently the CIO(Chief Information Officer) with responsibility for Information Technology and Business Systems in NSW Education Standards Authority.

A passionate, seasoned, hands on technology executive with more than 17 years experience in leading IT strategy, operations, transformational programs and initiatives. Commercially savvy leader with strong experience in managing high performing global IT delivery teams, vendors, contracts, stakeholder communication, programme management, emerging technologies and enterprise architecture.My skillset is best utilised in technology leadership role that strives to lead complex technology solutions and innovation to deliver business value.

Accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in strategic leadership in information technology, data management and business intelligence. Combining his in-depth knowledge of information and communications technology, data management and data architecture, with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, Mark has a track record of on-time and on-budget project delivery while managing stakeholder expectations and relationships and team morale and motivation.

Extensive experience in government and the private sector, in management roles that have spanned ICT, website development, database, multimedia, publishing and strategic consulting.

Strong written and verbal communication skills have been honed through experience in traditional and online media and in senior roles involving extensive client and stakeholder management.
