NTN USA Corporation history

Entered a business tie-up with Dixon Corp. of the United StatesA. and established Toyo Bearing Rulon Co., Ltd. (the present NTN Engineer Plastic Corp.) through merger (Renamed as NTN Engineer Plast!c Corp. and became a consolidated subsidiary to NTN Corp, In 1991).

NTN established a 13,000 square-foot, full-time Test Laboratory in 1993.

The company took further steps to enhance its United States presence by acquiring the ball bearings division of Federal-Mogul, a Michigan-based machine tool manufacturer, in 1996.

Closer to home, NTN was busy firming up its presence in Southeast Asia with the formation of NTN Manufacturing Company Limited, a bearing and CV joint manufacturing facility based in Thailand, in February 2000.

In February 2001 the company entered into a partnership with FAG Kugelfischer Georg Schafer AG, a German manufacturer, to market ball and roller bearings in both North America and Europe.

The joining of NTN and SNR in 2006 allowed SNR to expand its business around the world while relying on NTN’s internationally renowned Research and Development capabilities.
