Jason S. Kerr is vice president and chief accounting officer for BWX Technologies, Inc. Prior to being elected to this position in 2015, he served as corporate controller for the Company with responsibility for external financial reporting and transactional shared service accounting.

Mr. Kerr is a certified public accountant with significant experience serving multi-national corporations, primarily in the manufacturing industry. Previously he served eight years with Deloitte & Touche LLP, most recently as senior manager. During his tenure with Deloitte, Mr. Kerr was responsible for managing multiple audit engagements, reviewed SEC filings to ensure compliance with securities laws and regulations, and reviewed financial statements for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Mr. Kerr joined the company in 2002 as a senior auditor. Prior to this, he spent three years with Arthur Andersen LLP as an auditor. Mr. Kerr holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the College of Charleston and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Charleston.

Jonathan W. Cirtain

VP & CTO

Dr. Jonathan W. Cirtain is vice president and chief technology officer for BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT). He is responsible for identifying and developing new technologies for the company by integrating technical expertise and resources across the enterprise. He joined BWXT as director of commercial technologies in 2017 and most recently served as BWXT Advanced Technologies LLC president.

Dr. Cirtain spent nine years with NASA. He received the prestigious Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers and held positions of increasing responsibility from astrophysicist to the Science Research Office manager. He also co-founded Astraea, Inc., a machine learning and data science analytics company.

With a passion for design and innovation, Dr. Cirtain has contributed to and led teams in revolutionary science and technology applications. He has developed plasma confinement systems for lab research, a solid rocket motor system for suborbital vehicles, and graphics processing unit technology for video systems.

Dr. Cirtain earned his Ph.D. in physics from Montana State. He also holds two bachelor’s degrees in physics and mathematics from the University of Memphis. Dr. Cirtain has served on advisory committees for NASA, the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S. Office of Science and Technology Policy, National Academy for Science and Engineering, Royal Academy of Science, European Space Agency and numerous universities.

Robb A. Lemasters

SVP & CFO

Robb A. LeMasters is senior vice president and chief financial officer of BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT). He directs all aspects of corporate finance and information technology for the company.

Prior to being appointed to this position in 2021, Mr. LeMasters served as senior vice president and chief strategy officer, driving BWXT’s overall corporate growth strategy in its various markets and overseeing the company’s investor relations and mergers and acquisitions functions. Additionally, he was an independent director to BWXT’s board of directors from 2015 to 2020. Before joining BWXT, Mr. LeMasters was a managing director at Blue Harbour Group and a founding partner of Theleme Partners.

Mr. LeMasters also previously served as a partner at The Children’s Investment Fund and a Vice President in the Relative Value/Event-Driven Group at Highbridge Capital Management. Mr. LeMasters began his career as an analyst at Morgan Stanley & Co. in the mergers and acquisitions group and subsequently joined Forstmann Little & Co. as a private equity analyst.

Mr. LeMasters earned a bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.

Thomas E. McCabe

SVP, General Counsel, CCO & Corporate Secretary

Thomas (Tom) E. McCabe is senior vice president, general counsel, chief compliance officer and corporate secretary of BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT).

Prior to joining BWXT, Mr. McCabe served as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary at Orbital ATK, Inc. from 2014 through its sale to Northrup Grumman in 2018. He was also senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at Alion Science and Technology Corporation from 2010 to 2014.

Mr. McCabe has more than 30 years of legal and business experience, including executive positions at Braintech, XM Satellite Radio, MicroBanx Systems, COBIS Corporation and GRC International. Earlier in his career, he was an attorney in private practice and a law clerk for Judge Charles R. Richey at the United States District Court in Washington, D.C. He graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts in English before earning his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.

In 2018, Mr. McCabe was named Outstanding Chief Legal Officer of the Year by the Association of Corporate Counsel’s National Capital Region Chapter. He is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and a Board Leadership Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors. He also serves on the board of directors for Youth Leadership Foundation, a non-profit organization providing academic and leadership mentoring for economically disadvantaged middle and high school students.
