Essential Functions: Performs GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW welding on different types of materials (steel, stainless, and nickel alloys). Works on traditional projects and can perform most fit-ups that AECO requires. Understands advanced blueprint reading and welding symbol interpretation. Works independently regularly, and judgment can be trusted. Understands time expectations, and most jobs are completed within time estimates. Competencies and Attributes Needed: Workmanship must meet or exceed ASME and AWS requirements. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Accountability on projects with little oversight on non-ASME projects. Passion to learn and grow. Accountability to the team by holding to attendance requirements. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of MIG and TIG experience. Experience with basic welding principles and symbols. Understand how to read blueprints. Basic math skills: convert fractions into decimals. Performs GMAW and GTAW welding with at least one certification. Proficient with measuring tools; use a tape measure, micrometers, calipers, etc. Operating a forklift or overhead crane is preferred.
