Summary:
This position is for a part-time casual (as needed/PRN) Procedural Rad Tech opening at Dublin Methodist Hospital, located in Dublin, Ohio. Part-time casual associates do not have a regular weekly schedule but are required to work 96 hours within a 6-month period on as needed basis.
Cath Lab Specific:
The Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Cardiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, coronary and peripheral anatomy, and sterile technique.
Vascular Interventional (VIR) Specific:
The VIR Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Radiologist for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures in roles that include scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating. The technologist must have knowledge of the various imaging equipment in use including fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), and ultrasound.

Greets patients upon arrival to department. Checks chart for required data (i.e., informed consent). Reports absences or abnormalities to RN/physician. Explains procedures, gives instructions, and answers patients' questions. Participates in room turnover and transporting of patients.

Assists Radiation Safety officer in QA of labs and radiation protective apparel on regular basis. Performs tasks using radiation safety principles; checks lead aprons for tears; reports findings and removes inadequate gear from service; maintains accurate records or work with Radiology department to maintain records.

Dublin Methodist Hospital is hiring a part-time (24 hours/week), day shift CT Technologist. This position is Tuesday and Wednesday 7:00a-7:30p with no weekends. Call is required approximately four times per month.
The CT Technologist operates computed tomography scanners for a variety of procedures following directives of staff radiologists. He/ She is responsible for explaining procedures to the patients, administering contrast media as requested, and scheduling patients in an organized manner. All duties performed per approved protocol.

About the Unit:
The laboratory at Mount Carmel Dublin will provide a wide range of laboratory procedures that will aid clinicians in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients. There will be comprehensive testing in the specialties of hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, blood gases, molecular, and blood banking. Located on the 1st floor will be an Outpatient Lab Service Center that will provide convenient hours for patients to have their blood drawn. Self-scheduling will be available to allow for little to no wait times. This laboratory will house all new state of the art instrumentation along with EPIC Beaker laboratory information system. The laboratory team will interact with other Dublin Hospital health care professionals to coordinate the best patient care experience.
About the job:
The Medical Technologist performs laboratory testing. Has knowledge of the clinical significance of results, monitors and understands operation of instrumentation, and reports results accurately and
rapidly.
What you'll do:
Performs all clinical testing in assigned department.
Records and reports test results accurately and promptly.
Performs and interprets quality control testing following established guidelines.
Maintains a high level of quality assurance.
Practices established safety procedures, including Universal Precautions and proper use of safety equipment.
Able to recognize a problem by following prescribed strategies and make necessary corrections.
Where no present criteria for decisions are available, will consult with supervisor/manager. In absence of supervisor/manager, will act to determine final decision.
Coordinates and evaluates new reagents, procedures and equipment as requested by supervisor/manager.
Performs routine scheduled and specialized maintenance of laboratory equipment.
What we're looking for:
Education: Baccalaureate or Associate Degree in Medical Technology or related field.
Licensure / Certification: Certification from American Society of Clinical Pathologists, equivalent; eligible for certification.
If applicable, must maintain active certification.
Experience: Preferred, but not required.

As a Positron Emission Tomography--Computed Tomography (PET/CT) Technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide PET/CT services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes to our centers looking for answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
This is a part-time (30-39) position working approximately 36 hours per week. 10 - 12 hours days with varied scheduling Monday- Saturday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient PET/CT Imaging
Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure
Explains and prepares patients for PET/CT imaging procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately
Performs routine and advanced PET/CT imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
Adjusts PET/CT scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate
Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers
Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkers
Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
