Basic Job Functions: The Rolling Mill Utility will learn and function at a safe, high level in all positions on the rolling crew. The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is required to independently work and manage all aspects of customer orders in coordination with the Outside Sales Representative (OSR) and all internal departments including, but not limited to, quality, accounting, scheduling and logistics. The ISR controls customer and product development parts/orders, negotiates mode changes and discounts, and provides operations and order status updates, along with other strategic functions that support the commercial department. Timely and accurate execution of the duties and responsibilities of this position prevent the loss of customers and revenue. Duties and Responsibilities: * Evaluates and interprets customer material specifications to confirm mill capabilities; challenges operations and quality departments on published mill limits to satisfy customer requirements * Creates and manages customer parts and orders against mill lead times, campaign runs, shipping constraints, and credit limits. Self-audits parts and orders created by other ISRs. * Provides guidance on heat lot requirements; determines reapplication material or generates sales and revenue for additional material to complete production * Reaches across departmental boundaries to respond efficiently and consistently to all customers' inquiries; including, but not limited to, order changes, quality concerns, and order delinquencies * Confirms purchase order pricing against quotations, price sheets, and contractual parameters. The Caster Operator ensures policies, procedures, and all activities are carried out to support BRS goals and objectives at the Caster on their respective crew assignments. Digital assessment test is required to be completed within 14 days of submitting application. Responsibilities: * Capable of running the Caster in a safe manner. * Monitor mold level, mold flux level in the mold. Objective of the Job: This position is an industrial electrician responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of equipment in the Cold Mill area of Big River Steel facility. Duties and Responsibilities: 1) Ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements and "where applicable" ResponsibleSteel requirements are followed. 2) Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on complex electrical equipment, including PLCs, control circuits, communication systems, I/O field devices, and VFD drives/motors 3) Install or modify electrical equipment following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, and other specifications with minimal instruction after general assignment 4) Use Electrical Ingenuity and Work directly with all mechanics and operations personnel in a fast-paced environment to help develop a safety focused and productive Finishing Mill Team. This is an industrial maintenance position responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of equipment in the Coated Products area of the Big River Steel facility. Duties and Responsibilities: * Ensure Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements are followed and a priority. * Ensure good housekeeping practices are carried out in job areas and grounds. * Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions. * Troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and repair complex mechanical equipment. * Install and/or modify mechanical equipment following proper codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, and other specifications. * Assist operational personnel as needed for operational tasks that are needed to successfully support production. * Ensure proficiency by using precision measuring devices (feeler gauges, dial indicators, caliper…) * Work collectively with the Roll Shop teams and other contractors. * Assist maintenance teams when needed, in other depts.. across the mill, when circumstances arise. * Work directly with all electrical and operations personnel in a fast paced environment to help to help develop a safety focused and productive team. * Support maintenance teammates to help maintain a positive and efficient work environment focused on safety and reliability. Qualifications: * Ability to use mechanical ingenuity and make decisions in a fast paced production environment in a safe and efficient manner * Adaptability to accept changes in job duties and eagerness to learn and apply new knowledge. * Reliable team player with good communication skills. * Highly motivated, self-directed, and willing to put in extra hours when needed. * Demonstrated proficiency using precision measuring instruments. * Working knowledge of industrial hydraulics and power transmissions. * Experience in reading mechanical blueprints, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic schematics. * Ability to weld (stick, mig / tig-preferred), use cutting torches and the use of overhead cranes is a plus. * Knowledge and efficient in the use of the proper rigging equipment, includes critical lifts. * Experienced with mobile equipment (Rough Terrain, Man Lift, Fork Lift, Carry Deck or Broaderson) * Basic Computer skills required; use of Microsoft Office is a plus. * Efficient in the Metric Measuring System is a plus. * High School diploma or equivalent. * Technical certificate in Steel or Industrial Technology or closely related field is a plus. * Minimum 2 years of work experience as an Industrial Mechanical Technician. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: Environment is typical for a steel mill production area, with extreme temperatures, high noise levels, and dusty/greasy areas. Physically demanding work will be required in the production environments. Typical work hours are 12 hour shifts, which rotate days and nights. Extensive knowledge in mobile hydraulics and electrical components. Welding and cutting experience.
