In this role, you will be responsible for machining and manufacturing products for customers in a cost-efficient manner. RESPONSIBILTIES: Manufacturing customer parts efficiently to meet quality standards and routed hours, supporting company profitability. Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and keep it clean and in good operating condition. Ensure manufactured work meets customer requirements; report nonconformances to the Quality Department before inspection. Document work activity using manufacturing IT systems (e.g., routers, forms). Log time accurately on router operations using scanners and input stations. Complete daily production tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Adhere to all company safety policies and contribute to safety improvements (e.g., Job Safety Analyses). Collaborate with the supervisor on process improvement ideas to enhance departmental efficiency. Maintain a clean work area and apply 5S principles daily. Stay aware of the Quality Management System and your role in supporting the Quality Policy. Complete and maintain all required reports and records (e.g., Quality Plans, ITPs, routers, inspection reports). Perform other duties as assigned. SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Proficient in using inspection tools (micrometers, Vernier calipers, gauges). Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings, schematics, and GD&T. After the pipe is in place, the operator will machine tapered threads into the pipe. After the threads are cut the operator tests the flange to make sure it screws onto the pipe properly. Adjustments are made to the threads if an issue occurs. Applies glue on pipe and flange and uses the machine to tighten the flange onto the pipe. Runs the cutting tool across the surface of the flange to flush fit the flange onto the pipe. Remove pipe from machine and place on boards. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Good with math, able to read a tape measure and micrometer. Ability to understand machinery processes. Consistent attendance, ability to get to work on time, every day. Team player, willingness to work when needed, help out and volunteer for extras. Positive, enthusiastic and helpful.
