The Inside Machinist is responsible for the repairing and maintaining shipboard mechanical equipment. Fixing, servicing, aligning, setting up, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical principles. Inspects, maintains, and repairs marine vessels of all sizes. Works on vessels' hulls, engines, transmissions, navigational equipment, and sometimes electrical propulsion. Must possess knowledge of general mechanics of marine vessels in additional to knowledge of general machines to repair marine vessels and/or marine components, parts, etc. Must be good with a wide spectrum of tools. The Ramp GSE Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely handling of aircraft operations on the ramp area of an airport. Working as part of a ground handling team, the Ramp GSE Operator is responsible for various tasks related to the movement, loading, unloading, and servicing of aircraft, as well as the coordination of ground equipment and procedures. Pay Range: $21.36/ hourly + $2/hour Loyalty bonus + Shift Commitment Incentive Pay = up to $30/hr Loyalty bonus program- For each hour worked, a loyalty incentive of $2 per hour will be put into an account for each employee. Operate equipment such as conveyor belts and cargo loaders to facilitate these tasks. Marshaling and guiding aircraft using hand signals and visual aids to guide aircraft during taxiing, parking, and maneuvering. The Ramp GSE Operator ensures the safe and accurate positioning of the aircraft and GSE on the ramp. Operate various ground support equipment such as aircraft tugs, pushback tractors, and towing vehicles to move aircraft between areas. Ensure efficient and careful handling of upload and offload of equipment. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment for both personnel and aircraft. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly. Maintain effective communication with other ramp agents, ground crew, and flight crews to ensure smooth aircraft movement and coordination. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the ramp area, ensuring it is free from debris, foreign object damage, and other hazards. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects, bend, and stand for extended periods. Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures and protocols. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with other ground personnel and flight crews. Flexibility to work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and adverse weather situations. Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as airport operations are 24/7. Must be able to pass a background check and drug and alcohol testing. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Physical Requirements: The work requires routine walking, standing, bending, and carrying items weighing less than fifty pounds. Moving items over fifty pounds will be done using team lift. Must meet physical lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
