The CNC Programmer/Machinist will be responsible for creating and optimizing CNC programs, setting up and operating CNC machines, and interpreting technical drawings to produce precise components. This position will be primarily responsible for CNC Milling, including 4 and 5-axis milling machines as well as mill-turn lathes. Daily tasks include programming, setup, job scheduling, and ensuring the quality of finished products through meticulous attention to detail. Responsibilities • Complete technical reviews of drawings and specifications. • Program CNC machines using Mastercam, with a focus on 4 and 5-axis CNC milling as well as CNC mill-turn lathes. • Complete setup and first articles for each operation. • Operate machines during times of lower programming demand. • Review and adhere to job schedules and milestones. • Work with engineering, inspection, and assembly teams to ensure product quality meets specifications. • Ensure machined components meet their cycle time and cost estimates. • Complete root cause and corrective action reports as required to address issues. • Provide strong leadership and training to team members. Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in CNC Programming and Machining • Experience programming 4 and 5-axis CNC mills and CNC mill-turn lathes using Mastercam. • Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications. • Ability to interpret and review 3D models using SolidWorks and 2D drawings using AutoCad. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. • Dedicated to meeting internal and customer schedule commitments. • Familiarity with Epicor ERP a plus.
