⚙️ What You'll Do:
CNC Operation: Safely and efficiently operate CNC Saw Machines (and potentially other related equipment like mills and lathes) to cut precision metal components according to engineering specifications.
Quality Control: Utilize precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to inspect products and ensure they meet precise blueprint and drawing specifications.
Troubleshooting: Recognize and identify machining issues or irregularities during the run and make necessary, authorized adjustments to maintain production quality and efficiency.
Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in routine daily preventative maintenance and upkeep of the machinery and work area.
Team Collaboration: Maintain flexibility to support the team through rotating assignments, including manual operations and assembly, as needed.
Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in training programs to learn Bearon Manufacturing's processes, new equipment, and quality standards.
???? What We're Looking For:
A minimum of 1 year of recent, hands-on experience operating CNC machinery (saws, mills, or lathes) in a manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Working knowledge of shop mathematics and proficiency in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing/operating equipment) for extended periods.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, over the course of a shift.
Reliable attendance record and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
3+ years of experience in metal component manufacturing.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated willingness to learn and an interest in developing programming or advanced machining skills.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams, as well as job travelers for direction
+ Load and unload milling machine tools in a timely fashion

+ Create and edit CNC offsets for both fixtures and tooling
+ Perform tool breakage detection, as well as recognize tool wear symptoms

**Responsibilities**
+ Set up products on assigned milling machine tools while dependent on others in the department for support
+ Operate assigned milling machine tools within the department based upon predetermined input provided by CNC programmers and/or higher-level machinists
+ Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams, as well as job travelers for direction
+ Load and unload milling machine tools in a timely fashion
+ Allocate 80% or more hours to contracted jobs each shift
+ Identify, locate, and build all required tooling for production
+ Create and edit CNC offsets for both fixtures and tooling
+ Perform tool breakage detection, as well as recognize tool wear symptoms
+ Perform post processing during CNC cycle time

CNC Machinist
Numerical control operator job in York, PA
The CNC Machinist will set-up and operate a variety of CNC machines.
Requirements:
Proficient with the operation of a CNC machine
Ability to complete set-ups on various types of CNC machines
Familiar with standard machine shop metrology equipment and be proficient with reading gages.
Able to make machine adjustments as necessary based on tool wear and gage feedback.
Required to follow safety protocols.
Expected to complete inspection documentation as required by process control plan.
Able to perform preventative maintenance and 5S guidelines

Setup and operate CNC Vertical Turret Lathe to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following duties. Key Objectives
Setup and operate VTLs - Utilize knowledge of working properties and machining processes for a wide variety of materials such as stainless steel, Monel, Hastalloy, other nickel alloys, cast iron, carbon steel, bronze, aluminum, plastics, etc.
Manufacture components within the allotted time estimates provided on job travelers.
Ensure customer satisfaction with products and service.
Make process recommendations for improved efficiency and works with the CNC Programmer to optimize processes, programs and cutting tools.
Take a proactive approach to continuous improvement including productivity, quality, safety, environmental and ergonomics.
Essential Job Functions
Setup, and operate VTLs with minimal supervision.
Must have Proficient Knowledge of G Code with the ability to perform manual CNC program edits as required to complete job work scope.
Read and interpret customer drawings with an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances per ANSI Y-14.5.
Inspect work produced (1st piece and in-process inspection) using precision measuring equipment including: micrometers, bore gauges, dial calipers, or other measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications. Maintain tolerances as close as 0.002" over 55" diameter.
Where required, document inspection results on supplied IDS Sheets and/or Inspection Prints.
Keep equipment (machine, gauging, tooling, etc) clean and well maintained and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Follow preventative maintenance procedures on equipment as prescribed by the supervisor and report operating difficulties of equipment.
Document daily activities to assure performance in accordance with job standards.
Work effectively with peers and management in a team-oriented environment, assisting/training other employees as required.
Willing to work overtime when needed to satisfy customer requirements.
Employee may be required to operate forklifts and have the ability to safely rig and handle products up to 4 tons.
Must be able to stand, twist, bend, and repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to use hands and vision to complete coordinated actions.
