Under Utility Function Incumbent will hand-pack boxes including set-up of packing. Incumbent will also be responsible for various light material movement and will be required to assist operators as needed in production area to meet manpower needs. Under Boxmaker Function Incumbent will Safely and effectively operate boxmaker and related equipment in accordance with production requirements. Incumbent will support one-step operations in accordance with customer specifications. Essential Function and Responsibilities: Hand-pack finished product into boxes. Produce scrap tickets and finished good tickets. Move containers of finished product and/or production supplies to appropriate location using a pallet jack or other means. Insert H-Dividers into boxes as necessary in accordance with customer requirements. May be required to assist as needed in various production areas to fulfill production/manpower needs. Inspect product (including finished bottles, boxes, skids, etc.) while packing and/or stacking to ensure that product conforms to quality specifications. Ensure that all assigned machines within scope of responsibility are kept running and are producing quality products. Run boxmaker and related equipment and supply production lines in accordance with schedule. Check and monitor quality on machines as required. Recognize visual quality defects and make necessary adjustments to correct problems. Alert appropriate personnel to quality problems. Use Customer Profile to ensure that finished product is made to specifications. Complete appropriate training program for one-step machines and effectively fill in for One-Step Operators as required to cover absences, etc. Assist with handpacking of finished product as required. Enter machine issues into FMS as appropriate. Perform secondary labeling and ticketing of finished goods. Move materials as required using proper equipment including forklift and pallet jack. Assist personnel on preventive maintenance activities. Clearly communicate relevant information to oncoming shift personnel, supervision, maintenance and other personnel as required to ensure optimum operation. Utilize Levels training program to increase technical skill, knowledge and cross training with the utility and boxmaker functions. Maintain a safe and clean work area in accordance with Company standards. Follow all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) as documented in the policy. Follow all established safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Employee Handbook, and as stated in the various safety-related training programs.
