Job Responsibilities • Setup, operate and troubleshoot 5-axis CNC machining centers, vertical machining centers, and manual toolroom equipment (Lathes, mills, bandsaws) • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using appropriate CAM software (e.g. Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM, or similar). • Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and work instructions to produce precision components from aluminum extrusions and other materials. • Select proper tooling and cutting strategies to maximize efficiency and quality. • Aid in the design and fabrication of production related fixturing for CNC equipment. • Verify part conformity using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc). • Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on CNC machinery to ensure reliability. • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes, reduce cycle times, and minimize scrap. • Adhere to all company safety procedures, quality standards, and ISO requirements. • Performs additional duties as assigned by management or required by the position. Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications • High school diploma required; technical or trade school certification preferred. • Minimum 3 years of hands on CNC machining experience, with at least 2 years programming 5-axis CNC equipment. • Proficiency in CNC programming software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar). • Proficiency in Solidworks CAD software is preferred. • Strong understanding of G-code, toolpaths, and machining strategies. • Experience working with aluminum extrusions and precision components is strongly preferrred. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T symbols. • Familiarity with press brakes and metal forming operations a plus.
