Position Overview
The Setup Machinist will support production by setting up and running CNC machines while learning the full machining process. Individuals selected for this role will receive structured, hands-on exposure to machine operation, setups, and programming with the long-term goal of developing into 5-axis, cradle-to-grave machinists.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines (3-axis and 5-axis).
Load programs, set tooling, and verify part setups.
Monitor machine performance and adjust offsets as needed.
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators).
Maintain quality standards, documentation, and safe work practices.
Assist with general shop and production support as required.
Training & Development
Hands-on training with CNC machine operation and setups.
Progressive exposure to programming, fixturing, tooling, and process improvement.
Direct mentorship from the owner.
Clear pathway toward full-cycle (cradle-to-grave) machining responsibility.
Ideal Background
Recent graduate of a machining or manufacturing trade program preferred.

Basic understanding of CNC concepts is a plus.

What You Bring:

Machine Operation:
