We are expanding our advanced machining department with the addition of a new Doosan PUMA 3100 Mill-Turn Center and are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer and Operator to support our continued growth in precision machining and high-volume production.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
The CNC Programmer/Operator will be responsible for programming, setup, and operation of our new Doosan PUMA 3100 mill-turn, as well as our existing horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers including Makino A51, Doosan HP4000, Makino F5, Haas VF-2's and Mini-Mills. This position requires an experienced professional capable of working across multiple machine platforms, optimizing cycle times, and producing precision parts to exacting standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Includes, but may not be limited to the following:
Programs, sets up, and operates Doosan PUMA 3100 mill-turn, as well as horizontal and vertical CNC mills (Makino A51, Doosan HP4000, Makino F5, Haas VF-2, Haas Mini-Mills).
Creates, proves out, and optimizes CNC programs using Mastercam or similar CAM software.
Develops efficient tool paths, speeds, feeds, and work holding strategies for precision production.
Conducts machine setups, tool presetting, and offset adjustments for production and prototype runs.
Interprets blueprints, GD&T, and processes sheets to ensure conformance to specifications.
Performs part inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMM reports as required.
Troubleshoots machining issues, identifies process improvements, and collaborates with engineering and quality teams.
Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas consistent with 5S and ISO standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3-5 years of CNC programming and operating experience, including multi-axis mill-turn and horizontal/vertical machining centers.
Strong proficiency in Mastercam or equivalent CAM software.
Experience with Doosan, Makino, and Haas machine controls (Fanuc and proprietary systems).
Deep understanding of G-code, tool selection, work offsets, and fixture design.
Proven ability to read and apply GD&T and blueprint tolerancing.
Familiarity with ISO-9001 or ISO-13485 environments a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

Repair and maintain injection molds in accordance with internal specifications to support smooth injection molding production.
Independently carry out tool repairs based on documented tool complaints, adhering to the set specifications.
Perform disassembly and assembly of injection molds, ensuring accuracy and precision.
Execute skilled tasks at the workbench, such as spotting, measuring, and other critical adjustments.
Document dimensional changes directly on technical drawings to reflect modifications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, and feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; talk and hear; engage in moderately strenuous physical activity both indoors and out. The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The ability to become CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified is required. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
