About the Company Growing manufacturer in the San Diego, CA metro area has an excellent opportunity available for a Lead Senior CNC Programmer / Machinist. About the Role The position will be involved in programming mills using Mastercam 2023 or similar software. Experience in lathe programming would also be a plus. The position will be involved in training other machinists. Responsibilities This is an 8 hour day shift position. Supervising and mentoring other machinists in the setup, adjustment, and operations of CNC Mills and Lathes to produce precision metal parts. Mold Maker III will work with minimum supervision on new construction of Plastic Injection, Pultrusion, Compression and Rotational Molds, as well as Modifications and Repairs of the same. The Mold Maker will be expected to work with Senior Mold Makers as a support, Junior Mold Makers as a lead or independently as workload requires. The Mold Maker will also be expected to continue to improve their skill level and technical knowledge through interaction with coworkers and training opportunities as they are presented. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Able to read and understand work instructions such as, fixture alignment, tooling info and part loading instructions. QUALIFICATIONS: Qualified individuals will have 5 years related work experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment and familiar with our machine line. Must be able to stand for 8 hours in a day/night, lift/carry up to 50 pounds, keen eye-hand coordination, able to be trained and certified as a Forklift & Crane Operator.
