Primary Job Function This bonus eligible position operates computer and manually controlled machines to fabricate materials, loads and cycles parts, runs production lots, detects malfunctions in machine operations and communicates with co-workers and Supervisor regarding production runs. Completes set-ups on multiple CNC Vertical Mills Operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate, load, and cycle parts Runs production lots and communicates with co-workers regarding production runs to maintain a safe, organized and clean work environment. Proves out and optimizes programs and fixturing for repeat parts Troubleshoots and operates as needed across multiple machines Detects malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools Reads prints and inspects parts for conformance, typically +/- .005 tolerance Checks parts using basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges. CNC Lathe Machinist Responsibilities: Operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts according to technical specifications, drawings, or blueprints Monitor machine functions, ensuring they are operating correctly and efficiently Load raw materials onto the machine Secure the workpieces ensuring proper alignment and positioning for accurate machining Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to check the dimensions of finished parts Ensure the parts meet quality standards and specifications, adjusting as necessary Continuously monitor the machine's operation during the machining process Follow instructions carefully from setup technicians, programmers, or supervisors Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring all tools, equipment, and materials are properly stored when not in use Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent Experience in a precision machine shop environment Ability to interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) At least 6 months of experience in machine tool operation or 6 months machining training, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training Preferred Skills: Training in basic shop and measurement math, including linear measurement, metrics, algebra and geometry Familiarity with ISO documentation and processes is a big plus Pay: Competitive pay based on experience Employees on the 2nd shift receive an addition 10% differential towards their pay 10% differential = Hourly Pay X .10 Eligible for Overtime Benefits: Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision Life and Disability: Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Long Term Disability 401K Retirement Plan (3% company match) About us: A Silicon Valley leader in manufacturing and assemblies, Calmax Technology, Inc. manufactures precision machined parts and provides turnkey assembly to Fortune 500 customers across technology, automotive, aerospace, semiconductor, and medical industries.
