ESP Valve is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer for our Control Valve shop in Gonzales, LA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, machining, and precision measurement. We have a new CNC 4 axis mill and CNC lathe with live tooling. This role involves, helping to set up the CNC shop, programming, operating CNC machines, interpreting blueprints, and reverse engineering parts. The CNC Machinist will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of our operations.
All work is done in a new air-conditioned shop in Gonzales. This is a full-time position, with plenty of overtime. And we offer full benefits. We are a family-owned company with over 38 years in business.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC lathe and milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
Conduct regular maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.
Collaborate with team members in a lean manufacturing environment to improve processes and reduce waste.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of CNC 4-axis machining with a strong understanding of machining processes.

Job Summary/Objective
This role is responsible for setting up and performing various types of machining on any type of rough or finished stocks or parts.
Essential Functions / Qualities / Skills
Reads and interpret blueprints, charts, and sketches.
Know shop mathematics and can thoroughly plan own work.
Set up and operate machines to fabricate or repair parts within close tolerances.
Fabricate and fits all types of journal bearings, couplings, etc. Does bench and floor work. Knows thoroughly the working properties of the materials handled.
Operates and directs the operation of weight-lifting devices in moving heavy material or equipment to and from the work area.
Dismantles inspects for sources of trouble, repairs, and reassembles all types of machinery and equipment in the plant as required.
