What You'll Do • Program, set up, and operate Wire EDM and EDM hole drilling machines to produce tight-tolerance, high-precision components. • Set up and operate precision film manufacturing equipment, ensuring accurate and consistent production processes. • Program, set up, and operate 3-axis CNC machining centers, optimizing toolpaths for accuracy, cycle time, and finish quality. • Develop and refine CNC programs using Esprit CAM software for both CNC and EDM processes. • Assist with design modifications, tooling, and fixture development. • Perform precision grinding (surface, cylindrical, and form) and lapping operations to achieve mirror finishes and ultra-flat surfaces. • Manufacture precision film cutting tools made from tungsten carbide. • Program and operate Visual Measuring Machines (VMMs) and other advanced inspection tools to verify part accuracy and ensure quality standards. • Design and fabricate fixtures and tooling to support production and prototype machining. • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to troubleshoot, improve processes, and optimize efficiency. • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace following Lean Manufacturing and 5S best practices.     Job Description We are seeking CNC Machinists (all shifts) at our Canastota, NY facility. CNC Machinist position performs a variety of basic machining practices involved in turning, milling, drilling, and threading operations on turbomachinery components and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements, ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Operate and monitor CNC machine to ensure proper functionality. CNC operator, minimum 3 years of experience Manual machines and band saws Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and calipers. Utilize hand tools and have basic mechanical abilities. Ability to read blueprints and drawings. Problem solving skills. Strong hand-eye coordination Must have positive attitude and ability to multi-task, working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
