Job Duties & Responsibilities Equipment Operations Operates multiple quantities and types of laser machine to manufacture parts. Ensures the “On-Time” completion of scheduled work and projects. Maintains the consumables inventories for all laser machines. Reviews Manufacturing Orders (MOs) for work instructions, operation assignments, and specifications. Competently sets up, operates, and maintains all CNC laser cutting equipment to produce parts using setup instructions, shop traveler packages and prints. Enters machine settings for laser cutting operations ensuring that correct lens, nozzles, assist gases and laser heads are in place. Uses inspections to ensure the proper setup and alignment of lasers and performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance. Loads laser programs on the computer and modifies them as needed. Optimizes equipment performance and part yield. Efficiently operates multiple CNC laser cutting machines simultaneously as required. Produces the required quantity of parts within established cycle times, specifications, and tolerances. Competently charts and records machine performance, and OEE metrics. Observes levels of assist gases and change tanks as required. Unloads parts following the cutting cycle. Proficiently utilizes hand tools, and abrasives to deburr parts and place parts on skid. Prepares shop traveler and print document packages and attaches them to part skids. Maintains a record of laser head, gases & necessary items to run machine. Notifies team lead to order more tools to maintain the inventory. Material Management Effectively supports raw material inventory management. Prepares raw materials to ensure efficient, high-quality laser cutting. Safely and efficiently loads and unloads raw materials by safely operating material handling equipment, cranes and rigging. Manage weekly material selection and automated material loading equipment. Prepare materials (descale and oxidation removal) prior to placement in the automated material loading equipment. Cycle counts and record remnant material inventory. Utilize the approved inventory management organization standards to maintain the raw material inventory. Quality Management Understand and fully execute all quality documentation requirements and processes. Perform all QA and QC measuring and documenting tasks for all laser cut parts. Ensure that cut quality is at or above standard. Using attention to detail, adhere to all standards of quality. Read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, work instructions and SOPs. Fully comprehends the purpose of all quality documents and complies with their standards for use. Accurately reads and interprets blueprints (imperial and metric), and accurately uses all correct measuring instruments. Inspects and measures completed production units to identify defects caused by equipment setup. Measures finished parts with correct measuring instruments and/or fixtures, to ensure parts comply with fit, function, quality, and cosmetic specifications. Complies with NCMR and Deviation documentation and reporting standards to record errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces. Maintenance Management Chart machine performance and administers routine maintenance. Possess knowledge and the ability to use tools that optimize laser equipment performance. Monitor machine operations and performance, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment. Addresses machine malfunctions in an efficient and expedited manner. Perform all required machine TPM on the laser machine. Utilizes appropriate tools to administer routine maintenance and machine adjustments. Monitors machine for proper operation, performs assigned PM's, PdM's, cleans fume extractor, shuttle and unloading table as necessary. Performs all required machine TPM on all CNC laser cutting equipment and reports all unusual conditions to the group lead and/or maintenance lead. Safety Management Maintains work areas in a neat and orderly manner to minimize unsafe conditions and maximize efficiency. Utilizes safe working habits so as not to endanger self, others, equipment, or property. Conforms completely with all company and OEM safety standards and protocols for work tasks, equipment operation and maintenance. Job Description The Mission Operations Controller II provides control, coordination, and direction to personnel operating system assets involved in mission activity. Work performance contributes to meeting program objectives, assessing program effectiveness, and analyzing a variety of unusual and conventional test-related problems. Must perform complex assignments with widely varying duties including the complete cycle of testing parameters as related to primary assignments, determining cause and effect relationships, reaching conclusions, and recommending solutions. Must perform with the ability to conduct a variety of tests under stressful conditions, in constantly changing test environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct testing objectives with project director using applicable systems for each Setup, operate, and monitor communications networks, computer terminals, and CRT video displays to ensure integrity of processed data. Provide positive control of assets during assigned missions, both close control as well as tactical Conduct test from a command post and direct systems as necessary to satisfy test Interface directly with project director and customer to ensure test objectives are met with the scheduled Provide assistance with scheduling and administrative Performs related work as required Use established policies and procedures and subject matter knowledge to complete assignments of moderate complexity that vary in nature and sequence. Qualifications: This position requires 6 years' experience with electronic systems, radars, communications/video systems, and knowledge of their operational characteristics. The incumbent should be a graduate of a military Air Intercept Control school or Air Weapons Control school and have 4 years' experience controlling aircraft using close and tactical control. The incumbent must be familiar with testing procedures and experienced in directing the use of test assets and personnel to fulfill mission goals in an ambitious testing environment. The incumbent must have good verbal and written communication skills and be experienced in the use of computer terminals. The incumbent must be able to work duty days in excess of eight hours, shift work, overnight stays, and weekend work to meet required schedule demands. Working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications is required. This position will require travel. Work Conditions: Work is generally performed outdoors but may be indoors in shop or repair facility. The incumbent may be required to work under moderate noise conditions or extreme weather conditions. Position may require travel to work sites at remote facilities. Job Description Role Description We're seeking a full-time Machinist to join our team on-site in Las Vegas, NV. This position requires a skilled machinist with expertise in precision aerospace manufacturing, capable of producing mission-critical components to exacting tolerances. You'll set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual equipment to support the production of aerospace and defense parts. Working from engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models, you will ensure quality and reliability in every part produced. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC and manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders) to fabricate aerospace and defense components. Proficiency in CNC programming and operation (Fanuc, Haas, or similar). Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files to determine machining requirements. Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools to ensure compliance with tolerances. Collaborate with engineers to ensure manufacturability of designs. Interface with vendors and tool suppliers as needed to support production. Maintain proper documentation of machining operations, setups, and quality checks. Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust tooling, offsets, or programs to optimize results. Perform preventive maintenance on machining equipment and uphold shop safety standards. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; formal machinist training or apprenticeship preferred. 5+ years of hands-on machining experience in aerospace, defense, or another high-precision industry. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or equivalent). Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and aerospace tolerances. Skilled with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges). Knowledge of machining materials common in aerospace (aluminum, titanium, stainless steels). Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety/quality standards. U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements. Desirable Qualifications 7+ years of experience in an aerospace or defense machining environment. Experience with 5-axis machining and advanced manufacturing methods. Welding experience (TIG, MIG) Toolroom experience EDM experience Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices. Experience working with engineers on prototype builds and production transitions. Eligible to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
