How You Will Help * Work from operation traveler, prints, and oral instructions to plan work, select and procure tools and materials, and determine the proper and most efficient setup. * Develop and load CNC program, select appropriate cutting operation such as waterjet, plasma, and/or laser. Identify plate thickness and make appropriate speed adjustments. * Programming new parts as needed. * Monitor machine operation, verify accuracy of settings and program, detect malfunctions or out of tolerance features, use precision measuring instruments, make machine adjustments as needed to control process. * First piece inspection is required or until the parts meets specifications. * Run more than one machine at the same time as required. * Report damage or machine faults to supervisor. * Use various measuring devices to ensure work is to print specifications including, but not limited to, micrometers, verniers, thread and plug gauges. * Use cranes, dollies and carts to obtain and return material from the storage area. * Work directly with the material handler to load and unload plates to the tables and to move completed jobs to the next operation as needed. * Clean and maintain work area as well as machines, tools, and equipment to ensure optimal condition. * Perform all job functions in accordance with established operating procedures. * Identify and assist in remediation of all safety hazards in the workplace. * Perform other duties as directed by Team Leader/Supervisor.
