Shift: 3rd Shift Sunday - Thursday 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Pay: $21.43/hr. - $28.25/hr. DOE
Shift Premium: $2.50/hr.
Position Responsibilities:
Set-up and operate CNC Vertical Mills.
Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
Make machine adjustments as needed.
Maintain excellent quality and high efficiency.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as comparators, indicators, calipers, height gauges, and micrometers, to inspect and adhere to close tolerance requirements.
Comply with all Company safety regulations.
Maintain housekeeping and organization.
Follow 5S, lean manufacturing principles, and ISO standards.
Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality System (e.g., applicable inspection, verification, and disposition procedures, and/or instructions and forms required as part of the process).
May be required to perform other jobs as needed by the Company.
Essential Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
At least 3-5 years of CNC Milling/Lathing operational experience
Strong math background, preferably in machine/shop math
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
Ability to troubleshoot issues
Attentive to detail
Able to work in an environment of oil, coolant, and chips
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

The CNC Machinist sets-up and operates CNC and manual equipment following standard machining methods and procedures; produces parts to production and quality standards; documents machining and general machining processes in the form of standard operating procedures.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Program, set-up and operate all CNC lathe / VMC machining centers, manual machines (lathes, drill presses, mills, routers, grinding machines etc.) and measuring equipment to produce quality parts within deadlines
2. Converts designs and drawings into code programming language for CNC equipment. Validates programs to established specifications.
3. Determines dimensions and tolerances of piece to be machined, sequence of operations and machines needed by studying specifications, such as blueprints, sketches, damaged parts or descriptions of parts.
4. Inspects parts, tooling, and material to specifications.
5. Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in safe, clean and satisfactory operating condition.
6. Monitors work to ensure that machine is functioning properly.
7. Works from draft drawings and written instructions to create replacement and new parts as well as for tooling or prototype equipment.
8. Identify production standards for set-up and machine times
**EXPERIENCE**
1. Minimum of 5 years machining experience including ability to set-up / operate preferred. Strong knowledge of machining, machining practices, tooling, drafting, CNC machines, controls, programming, measuring equipment and techniques.
2. Ability to program CNC lathes and VMC machines
3. Ability to troubleshoot CNC operating/programming issues.
4. Demonstrated verbal and written communication as well as mid-level math skills.
5. Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.
6. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
7. Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
8. Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
9. AA degree in Machining / Mechanical Technology, equivalent trade school / military training, or comparable related experience preferred.
