We are searching for a Mold Maker experienced in plastic injection molds to help build and repair complex tooling solutions.Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in mold making for plastic injection molds Strong mechanical skills and experience with disassembly, troubleshooting, and reassembly of injection molds Ability to operate all in-house machine shop equipment Familiarity with mold functions such as venting, heating, cooling, and polishing Knowledge of tool design, mold construction, and typical mold defects Capable of using inspection tools (micrometers, indicators, calipers, etc.) Able to read and interpret CAD mold and part designs Licensed to operate hoists and power trucks preferred Skills: Lathe work, milling, surface grinding, tool sharpening Spotting, timing, detail work, polishing, welding Troubleshooting mold problems on the floor and during concept review Proficient in hot runner maintenance and electrical troubleshooting Excellent communication and collaboration with design and programming teams Detail-oriented and capable of working independently or mentoring apprentices As a Mold Maker, you will be responsible for the hands-on build, repair, and maintenance of thermoplastic and thermoset injection molds. This includes machining, troubleshooting, assembly, and collaboration with designers and programmers.
