Duties and Responsibilities:

Typical assignments include:

· Performing physical searches of detained individuals, their vehicles, and their immediate surroundings for weapons, contraband, currency, and other evidence.
· Apprehending, physically restraining, or working with law enforcement officials to identify or apprehend violators of state, federal, or immigration laws.
· Proficient in the use of firearms, preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., warrants, subpoenas, etc.), and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system.
If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 grade level.
GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, with the authority granted by the state or government to enforce laws, make arrests, and investigate crimes, performing primary duties in an official law enforcement capacity such as:
· Utilizing intelligence information to track illegal operations, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or contraband while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.
· Leading investigations of fraud, contraband, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or illegal operations to determine sources and patterns while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.
· Apprehending violators of state, federal, or immigration laws by utilizing various forms of complex technology that include surveillance, detection, situation awareness systems, and/or communications equipment.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters; analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.
There are no education substitutions for the GL-9 or GS-11 grade-level Border Patrol Agent opportunities.

Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (including protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Under the direction of the Facility Maintenance and Engineering Manager, the Industrial Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the plant ammonia/refrigeration, compressed air, process steam, steam plant heating, steam condensate, hot/cold water, HVAC, fire protection.
Job Description:
Conduct all maintenance and repairs of facility compressed air systems, roof top HVAC, low- and high-pressure steam systems, ammonia refrigeration systems, fire system, plant heating and air conditioning systems and other mechanical systems across site.
Operate facility ammonia refrigeration systems and steam systems.
Read, interpret and apply sketches, prints, and operating instructions.
Monitor heating and cooling systems via Control Room SCADA system.
Complete building rounds multiple times per shift.
Work in extreme temperatures (freezer environment and boiler room).
Adjust work schedule to accommodate 24x7 operation; includes holidays.
Use hand and power tools and other instruments applicable to the trade.
Fabricate parts to perform maintenance repairs.
Perform basic diagnostic analysis of electrical circuits on all systems assigned to the position.
Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and assist in the development of procedures and corrective actions
Must become a member of the facility's Emergency Response Team.
Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator (CARO), Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator (CIRO), and Process Safety Management Total Curriculum Signoff training are provided after the start of employment.

Minimum Qualifications:

The Chef Assistant is responsible for assisting the Head Chefs and restaurant and café employees with providing a high quality culinary experience at SUNY Geneseo. This position provides oversight and assists with all kitchen operations and personnel to ensure that all food adheres to standards of quality. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for all phases of food preparation and responsible for training and directing employees in food preparation
Reassign job duties among restaurants and café personnel in order to complete necessary production
Consult with unit management and stock personnel to ensure food requisitions meet the unit menu requirements
Consult with unit management to determine food quantities to be prepared to meet the unit menu requirements
Plan the use of food surplus daily to control food costs
Participate in food production in any department
Place food orders, inspect and sign for food/stock deliveries
Perform other related tasks included but not limited to, working on the server line, washing dishes or pans, operating a cash register, putting away food stock items, working special catered events
May be required to unlock buildings and storage areas at the beginning of the day or secure storage areas and the building at the end of day
